The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Kinski. Beautiful body shot.
Jepp takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jepp shoots in for a takedown but Kinski shows good takedown defense.

Kinski lands a really nice looking cross but Jepp seems unphased.

Jepp clinches up against the cage.

Jepp is stalling here. Kinski is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Jepp seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kinski has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Swagger drops Miocic with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Miocic looks back up at him and smiles so Swagger waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Swagger has cracked Miocic with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Swagger lands another huge swinging hook and Miocic tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Miocic, before Swagger can land any more shots!

Spenser Swagger spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

Mendes is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Yamasaki is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Yamasaki flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Mendes anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Yamasaki and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Mendes slips an arm under Yamasaki chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Mendes has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Mendes is squeezing on Yamasaki like an anaconda would it's prey. Yamasaki fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Paulo Mendes decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
