With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vitor Mesquita! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jorge Garcia and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maitonaama bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Maitonaama is looking to counter the offense by Mesquita and move into the clinch. A looping hook to the body misses from Mesquita. Maitonaama does a little dance to reset his feet. Maitonaama half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stu Redman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 17 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alexei Brovarnik! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Steve Montenegro and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Redman jabbing away but nothing is landing. Brovarnik throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Brovarnik motions for Redman to come forward. Brovarnik throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Redman darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Brovarnik tries to roll over but Redman keeps him under control. Redman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. We've been hearing that Redman has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Redman working over Brovarnik with some ground and pound. Brovarnik looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Brovarnik looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Brovarnik wants to improve his position but Redman is controlling well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brovarnik is pressing down on Redman's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Redman landing some decent shots from guard. Brovarnik has his feet on Redman's thighs here. He's pushed Redman off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Redman screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chandler forces Paa back against the cage and clinches. Paa lands a left hand that snaps the head of Chandler backwards. A short left from Chandler. Chandler lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Paa or not. Chandler working aggressively here.
Chandler digs a right hand underneath Paa's ribcage. Paa let out a lung full of air as it connected. Chandler lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Paa backwards. Chandler lands with a short shot to the head. Paa is breathing heavily. Chandler lands a hook that snaps the head of Paa backwards. Chandler breaks from the clinch.
Paa has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Hidden in the buildup to the fight. Chandler cracks Paa with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Paa looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Chandler finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Chandler tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Paa counters with a lovely straight right hand! Chandler throws a leg kick which misses Paa's front leg but catches the back leg as Paa tries to avoid it. Chandler is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Paa's half guard. Chandler is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Paa trying to control but Chandler postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chandler is trying to control the action in half guard but Paa is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Paa trying to hold on to Chandler's head to control him but Chandler postures up.
Paa looking for submissions off his back. Paa tries to get to full guard but Chandler has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Paa is not content to let Chandler control the position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Paa looking for subs from the bottom but Chandler mounts him! Chandler controlling the pace for now. Chandler trying to control but Paa is having none of it. Paa working to try and regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chandler content just to control the position here. Paa can't escape the position.
Chandler controlling his opponent. Paa tries to hold on but Chandler pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Paa is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Chandler controlling from the full mount. Paa wants to control but Chandler is having none of it. Paa keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Chandler controlling his opponent. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Lawson Chandler dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Paa crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Chandler - the referee stops the clock and Paa gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Chandler. Paa manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Chandler avoids a punch combination nicely.
Paa scores with a one two! Chandler had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Chandler swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Chandler clinches up with Paa and pushes him back against the cage. Paa misses with a hook from the clinch. Paa doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Paa can't find room to land a body shot as Chandler controls the action.

Paa has gone for a leg lock! Chandler slips out almost immediately though and dives into Paa's guard. Chandler preventing the sweep. Chandler controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Paa is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Paa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Chandler can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Paa being controlled here, momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Paa working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Chandler has passed into half guard!

Chandler is keeping the position for now. Chandler wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Paa throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Paa getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Chandler attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Paa lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Chandler at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chandler looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Paa waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Chandler. Paa swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nice shot by Paa. Paa paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Chandler scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chandler misses with a series of wild punches.

Chandler is trying to push Paa away but Paa has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Chandler tries to throw a body punch but Paa avoids it by throwing Chandler back against the cage. Chandler lands a hook that snaps the head of Paa backwards. Paa wants to take the fight to the mat but Chandler manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Chandler. Chandler working aggressively here.

Lawson Chandler seems to be getting the better of the standup. Chandler fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Chandler misses with a combination
and Paa counters with a three punch combo that has Chandler backing up. Chandler nods at Paa to acknowledge the strikes. Paa pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Chandler back to the cage. Paa follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Paa throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Chandler stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Paa takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Chandler lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chandler looks to land a left hand but Paa moved out of range nicely. Paa swats away the attempt to clinch by Chandler.
That's four minutes gone in the round. No joy there for Chandler, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
It looked like Paa was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Chandler. A right-left combo lands from Chandler. Chandler looks to land a combination but Paa avoids it well. A combination from Chandler does no damage. Paa is looking to counter with a body kick. Paa lands with a nice body kick. A head kick misses from Chandler. Chandler fails with an attempt to clinch.
Paa misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Chandler.
Chandler fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Paa throws a quick counter head kick but Chandler was just out of range. Paa lands with a right hand. Paa has closed the distance and engaged Chandler in a clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Iso Paa. I think Paa has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Havran scores with the left hand. Rader knows he should have avoided that one. It looks like Dennis Rader has been cut. Rader lands a nice shot that snaps Havran's head back.

Havran tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Havran has Rader pushed against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Havran tries a body shot but Rader blocks it.

Rader scores with a shoulder strike. Havran blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Rader really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Havran misses with a punch to the body.

Rader throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

and Havran takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. An inside leg kick lands from Rader. Rader explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Rader lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Havran throws a poor cross that misses
and Rader counters with a stiff right hand. Gabriel Havran's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Gabriel Havran's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

The fighters circling - Tuytuhlz throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A little feinted left hand from Aztlan on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Aztlan misses with a left hand and Tuytuhlz connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Aztlan thows a body kick. Tuytuhlz tries to catch it but that hurt him. Tuytuhlz is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Aztlan rather than just go for the knockout. Aztlan moves out of range as Tuytuhlz strikes. Aztlan takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Aztlan slips a jab from Tuytuhlz. Tuytuhlz looks to score with a jab to the body but Aztlan is just out of range. Aztlan appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Aztlan staying out of range there. Tuytuhlz misses with a shot to the body and Aztlan counters with a nice leg kick. Tuytuhlz misses with a shot to the body enabling Aztlan to counter with a crisp jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tuytuhlz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Tuytuhlz on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Tuytuhlz is rocked! A shot to the liver by Aztlan. Beautiful body shot. Tuytuhlz is still on wobbly legs! Can Aztlan finish him? Tuytuhlz looks winded! Tuytuhlz is aggressively charging in as Aztlan backs up avoiding any damage. Aztlan tosses out a jab and Tuytuhlz runs right into it face first! Tuytuhlz is out cold! Aztlan dropped down on all fours and is barking in Tuytuhlz's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
