Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Disco Sandcastle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Boby Marreta! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sandcastle tries a head kick but it misses.
A slow jab from Sandcastle misses its intended target. Marreta fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Sandcastle lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Marreta slips under a jab. Sandcastle lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Marreta tries to clinch there but Sandcastle circles away.
Sandcastle throws a right hand that Marreta ducks under and follows up with a left that Marreta also avoids with ease. Marreta takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Sandcastle stuffs the takedown attempt from Marreta. Marreta gets slowly back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sandcastle scores with a jab. Marreta acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Marreta throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sandcastle's waist but Sandcastle gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Marreta off to one side. Disco Sandcastle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boby Marreta. Marreta fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sandcastle scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Sandcastle throws out a loose jab but Marreta uses good head movement to avoid it. Marreta swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Sandcastle throws a lazy right hand but Marreta sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Disco Sandcastle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sandcastle listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Marreta ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Sandcastle sets himself, and Marreta steps forward looking for the clinch! Sandcastle avoids it this time. Marreta pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Sandcastle drops Marreta with a beautiful combination! Marreta stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Sandcastle is looking for the KO! It looks like Boby Marreta has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sandcastle dances in with a quick combination. Marreta is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Sandcastle snaps Marreta's head back. Marreta stumbles backwards against the cage. Sandcastle steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Marreta's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Marreta just didn't come prepared.

With a record of 15 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Conway! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Conway uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hawthorne has time to react. Hawthorne ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Conway moves away. Hawthorne is looking to clinch. Conway misses with a head kick.
A shot to the body from Conway misses and Hawthorne counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Hawthorne shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Conway pinned against the cage. Conway gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Hawthorne has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad MMA New York in the buildup to the fight. Hawthorne gets a clinch. Hawthorne tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

OH! Hawthorne has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Conway smells blood and charges in for the finish! Conway unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Hawthorne sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Hillburn avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones trying to control but Hillburn is working from the bottom. Hillburn isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Jones stacks Hillburn on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Jones! Hillburn on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hillburn tries to get out of the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Jones tries for a kimura but Hillburn is defending well. Hillburn is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Jones is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hillburn knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. You can see the frustration on Hillburn's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jones works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Hillburn avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Jones. Hillburn is trying to escape and get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hillburn is looking to reverse the position. Jones landing strikes. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jones is working Hillburn over with some ground and pound from side control. Jones is looking to take a break and control but Hillburn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hillburn is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Jones has just dragged him back down to the mat. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bekzod listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Bekzod cracks Helpmann with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Bekzod has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Helpmann to stand back up! Helpmann is rocked! Helpmann chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Bekzod is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
