The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brlacher shoots in for a double leg but Mantzurin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Mantzurin closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mantzurin lands in his opponent's guard. Mantzurin trying to control the position from guard on top but Brlacher is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brlacher wants to sweep but no luck. Jenkins fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nofud manages to avoid it. Nofud throws a leg kick that misses. Nofud takes a body punch but keeps moving. Ovaltine Jenkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nofud throws a sloppy head kick and Jenkins moves out of range easily. A telegraphed right hand from Nofud misses the target. Jenkins with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jiurgite with a nice calf kick. The fighters circle momentarily. Jiurgite darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Butcher attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Butcher is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. It looks like Zé Jiurgite has been cut. A swing and a miss from Jiurgite. Jiurgite blocks the body kick.

Jiurgite misses with a right hand and Butcher counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Jiurgite is lucky that one didn't land flush. Jiurgite drops his shoulder and cracks Butcher with a huge uppercut! Butcher goes down! Can Jiurgite finish him?
Butcher is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jiurgite sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Butcher's guard. Oh Butcher is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Butcher is refusing to be controlled, as Jiurgite sits in half guard. Butcher seems to have got his legs back now. Jiurgite controlling the action here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jiurgite trying to pass the guard but Butcher defending well. Butcher is in trouble now - Jiurgite has advanced to mount! Jiurgite sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Butcher is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jiurgite takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Butcher is desperately trying to improve his position but Jiurgite has a good base and remains in mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Jiurgite content just to control the position here. Butcher wants to hold on but Jiurgite pushes him away. Jiurgite controlling his opponent. And that is the end of the round. Jiurgite has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Jiurgite tries to clinch but Butcher moves away letting Butcher counter with a right hand. Butcher throws a nice inside leg kick. Butcher takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Jiurgite tries to clinch but Butcher is having none of it. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Butcher lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jiurgite has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jiurgite and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Butcher throws a solid leg kick but Jiurgite takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Butcher. Jiurgite throws out a counter right but Butcher avoids it with no problem. An inside leg kick lands from Jiurgite.

Butcher tries to score with a low kick but Jiurgite moves his leg out of the way. Butcher goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Jiurgite moves out of range as Butcher throws a body kick.

Butcher throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jiurgite stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Butcher tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Butcher throws the kick towards the body but Jiurgite avoids it. Jiurgite scores with the left hand. Butcher knows he should have avoided that one.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crunch! Butcher slams his shin into Jiurgite's torso. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A jab from Butcher misses. Butcher uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jiurgite. Butcher swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. A low kick lands for Butcher.

Jiurgite throws out a loose jab but Butcher uses good head movement to avoid it. Jiurgite throws a chopping leg kick but Butcher manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Butcher thumps Jiurgite with a low kick. Butcher catches Jiurgite with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Jiurgite displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Butcher throws out the jab.

Butcher lands with a kick to the temple. Jiurgite shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Butcher takes a swing at Jiurgite's ribcage but misses. A nice side step and Jiurgite releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Jiurgite fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Butcher has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Jiurgite misses with an uppercut. Butcher saw that one coming. Butcher misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Butcher slips under a jab. Butcher pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Jiurgite on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Jiurgite throws a hook but Butcher blocks it. Butcher looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Butcher walks into a jab. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Zé Jiurgite will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Zé Jiurgite's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Butcher fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jiurgite manages to avoid it. Jiurgite scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Butcher doesn't seem bothered though. A jab from Jiurgite misses. Butcher's legs have taken a beating and he's really slowing down as a result. Jiurgite takes a swing at Butcher's ribcage but misses. Jiurgite uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Butcher has time to react. Jiurgite steps into range and cracks Butcher with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Butcher flops backwards and Jiurgite dives into his guard looking to finish!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jiurgite is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jiurgite drops back looking for a leg! Butcher is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Butcher manages to kick Jiurgite off! Jiurgite jumps back into Butcher's guard. Jiurgite stopping the sweep attempt from Butcher.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Butcher can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jiurgite controls the pace. Jiurgite slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Jiurgite controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jiurgite trying to control the position but Butcher is working away. The referee asks Jiurgite politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jiurgite prefers to stall for the moment though.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Butcher tries to land a front kick but Jiurgite steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Butcher steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jiurgite. Jiurgite avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Zé Jiurgite seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A left lands for Butcher. Butcher ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jiurgite moves away. Jiurgite throws a big counter head kick but Butcher avoids it with no problem. Butcher blocks a jab. Butcher throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Butcher is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Haelfson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Haelfson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Asby tries to bench press Haelfson off him but Haelfson keeps the position. Asby is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Haelfson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Haelfson is trying to control the action in half guard but Asby is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Haelfson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Asby! Asby on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Asby tries to get out of the position. Asby is trying to escape the mount.
