The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Raita swinging wildly here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crap keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Cheese. Crap drops down looking for a counter takedown but Cheese sprawls and moves away. Cheese misses with a leg kick and Crap counters with a takedown into side control. Cheese tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Crap wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Crap tries to score with some ground and pound. Walton lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
This has been an exciting period of action! Rivers lands a really nice looking cross but Walton seems unphased.

With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rayan Brandt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Maurice Boma! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Darius Henderson and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brandt drives through with a takedown into guard. Brandt loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Brandt works a leg free and moves into half guard. Brandt trying to control the pace. Brandt slips a nice elbow through Boma's hands, connecting with Boma's forehead. Brandt throwing shots but Boma is blocking nicely. Brandt works his way into side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A lull in the action here as Brandt stalls from top position. Boma takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
That's one minute gone in the round. I wouldn't like to be where Boma is right now. Brandt sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Boma is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Boma manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Still in half guard, Boma seems content to control. Brandt wants to get back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Boma felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Brandt thows a huge punch but Boma dodges it nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Brandt is trying to ground and pound but Boma uses the momentary lack of control by Brandt to regain half guard. Brandt passes to full mount! Brandt sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Brandt trying to control but Boma is having none of it. Brandt takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boma tries to hold on but Brandt pushes him away. Brandt working away from the top, dropping strikes. Boma avoids a series of strikes thrown by Brandt.
Brandt tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Brandt misses with a head shot. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Brandt landing shots from mount. Brandt thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Brandt trying to control but he's not successful this time. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Rayan Brandt dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round! Brandt misses with a takedown and Boma counters with a good, hard body kick but Brandt shrugs it off. Brandt throws a body punch but Boma moves out of range. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Boma! But no joy. Boma misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Boma, as that shot connected.
Brandt lands with a cross. Boma swings and misses with a hook to the body.

It looks like Rayan Brandt has been cut. Brandt closes the distance and clinches up with Boma, looking for a takedown. Brandt pushes Boma against the cage but Boma circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brandt is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Brandt swings away with a body shot that misses
and Boma makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Brandt is defended easily by Boma. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rayan Brandt. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boma tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Brandt misses with a takedown letting Boma counter with a right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brandt darts in looking for a takedown but Boma gets double underhooks and turns Brandt into the cage. Brandt changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Boma fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Brandt works over Boma's head and body with a nice combination. Brandt scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Brandt working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Boma slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Boma is on top in guard.

Brandt is looking for a sweep. Boma is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Brandt makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Brandt. Brandt looking for a sweep. Not yet Brandt, not yet. Boma not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Brandt has an active guard here but Boma has managed to pass into half guard.

The fighters are battling for position here. Brandt manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Boma stopping the sweep attempt from Brandt. Maurice Boma has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Brandt wants to control the position but Boma says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Brandt wants to improve his position but Boma is controlling well.

Abner is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
