Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kang Dae Hyun (ranked 2932 p4p, 2215 weight class) and Bofur Widenose (ranked 314 p4p, 252 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kang Dae Hyun! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 27 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bofur Widenose! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Dae Hyun misses the target. Dae Hyun misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Widenose.
Dae Hyun keeps the fight on the outside. Widenose ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Widenose moves out of range of the body kick from Dae Hyun.
Dae Hyun keeps the fight on the outside. Widenose tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dae Hyun manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Widenose drives through with a takedown into guard. Widenose is looking to pass into half guard but Dae Hyun pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Dae Hyun is in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Widenose working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Dae Hyun has passed into half guard!
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dae Hyun in particular looking to stall. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Widenose has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dae Hyun is working away from the top position though. Widenose looking for submissions off his back. Well, if Dae Hyun is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Dae Hyun's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Widenose trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Widenose is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Dae Hyun is staying active. Dae Hyun will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Widenose is trying desperately to improve position. Widenose is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Widenose sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Dae Hyun wants to advance to full mount but Widenose doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Widenose has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dae Hyun can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Widenose is looking for a triangle but Dae Hyun pushes his legs off easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Widenose looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Dae Hyun puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kang Dae Hyun dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Dae Hyun misses with a kick to the body.
Nice sprawl there from Dae Hyun as Widenose shoots in. As Widenose tries to get set, Dae Hyun tries to push him back and clinch up but Widenose manages to avoid the attempt. Widenose changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dae Hyun tries to avoid it but Widenose manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dae Hyun to the ground. Dae Hyun escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. As Widenose tries to get set, Dae Hyun tries to push him back and clinch up but Widenose manages to avoid the attempt. Dae Hyun connects with a good right hand that stumbles Widenose. Widenose circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Dae Hyun avoids the body shot from Widenose.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Widenose shoots in and drives through. Dae Hyun sprawls well. Dae Hyun stuffs the takedown. Dae Hyun was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Kang Dae Hyun is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Widenose uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dae Hyun.
Widenose bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Dae Hyun is trying to get back to half guard. Dae Hyun struggling a bit here. Widenose trying to control the action but Dae Hyun is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Widenose thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Dae Hyun is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Dae Hyun wants to control but Widenose postures up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Widenose shoots in but no luck this time. Dae Hyun looks to throw the jab but Widenose is out of range. Widenose drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Dae Hyun defends it well. Dae Hyun clinches up against the cage. A head punch on the inside from Dae Hyun fails to land. Dae Hyun lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Widenose backwards. Dae Hyun misses with the head strike.
Widenose jumps guard and drags Dae Hyun to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Widenose can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dae Hyun controls the pace. Widenose tries to land a sweep but no joy. Widenose is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dae Hyun defends well.

Widenose ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Widenose no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Dae Hyun sitting in guard, not really doing much. Widenose escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dae Hyun gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Widenose is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Widenose has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dae Hyun can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Widenose walks forward, straight into a front kick from Dae Hyun. Widenose walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Dae Hyun throws a shot from downtown. Widenose moves away and avoids it. Dae Hyun punishes Widenose's body with a nice straight punch. Widenose is looking to clinch but Dae Hyun is avoiding it.
Widenose with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Dae Hyun to score with a decent uppercut. Dae Hyun misses with a body shot.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dae Hyun moves in looking to clinch but Widenose pushes him off. Widenose shoots for a double leg takedown but Dae Hyun sprawls well. He's pushed Widenose's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Bofur Widenose has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kang Dae Hyun has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bofur Widenose. Dae Hyun gets a clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Kang Dae Hyun showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dae Hyun, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

and Easterly counters with a straight right hand. Holden Easterly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Easterly looks to land a combination. Knuckles sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. A shot to the liver by Easterly . Beautiful body shot. Easterly catches Knuckles with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Easterly slips under a jab from Knuckles. Easterly misses with a wild body shot. Knuckles throws an overhand right that lands on Easterly 's shoulder, as Easterly tries to avoid the shot. Knuckles throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Easterly sees it coming and avoids it easily. A swing and a miss from Knuckles. Easterly misses the shot to the body. Knuckles looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Easterly pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Knuckles back to the cage. Easterly follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Easterly tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Knuckles was well out of range. Poor timing from Easterly . Easterly is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Easterly moves away from the strike by Knuckles. Easterly scores with a jab to the body. Easterly looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Easterly connects with a single shot there. Easterly lands with a good body shot. Easterly slips a jab from Knuckles.

Knuckles is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Knuckles pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Easterly back to the cage. Knuckles follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Easterly throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Easterly throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Easterly swings for the body but Knuckles moves out of range.
Easterly connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Knuckles momentarily.
Easterly lands with a right hand. A right-left combo lands from Easterly . This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Knuckles moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. That kick from Easterly tenderised Knuckles's leg. Knuckles is trying to keep his angry face on. Easterly scores with a jab. Knuckles acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Some wild striking there from Knuckles.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Knuckles on the wrong end of a nice hook. The fight moves into the clinch position. Easterly swings wildly with an uppercut but Knuckles uses good head movement to avoid it. Easterly tries to land knees in the clinch but Knuckles avoids the damage to the body. Easterly fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Knuckles throws a punch but it's blocked by Easterly . Easterly misses with a short punch on the inside. Easterly softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Easterly misses with a hook to the ribs.

Easterly is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Easterly just misses with a elbow thrown towards Knuckles's brow. Easterly gets through Knuckles's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Easterly lands with a right to the head. Easterly lands with a short head shot on the inside. Easterly makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Easterly scores with an uppercut up the middle. Easterly digs a right hand underneath Knuckles's ribcage. Knuckles let out a lung full of air as it connected. A short left from Easterly . Knuckles blocks a body shot from Easterly . Easterly gets through Knuckles's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Easterly creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Easterly tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. A short right from Easterly on the inside. Easterly with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Easterly lands with a light punch inside. Knuckles is rocked! Easterly lands on the inside with an uppercut. Knuckles is still on wobbly legs! Can Easterly finish him? A head punch on the inside from Easterly fails to land. Knuckles seems to have recovered his senses. Knuckles tries to throw a body punch but Easterly avoids it by throwing Knuckles back against the cage. A right hook to the body lands for Easterly .

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Easterly lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Knuckles. Easterly pushes Knuckles back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Easterly makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Easterly misses with a body punch.

Easterly uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Knuckles has time to react. Easterly scores with a punch to the head. Easterly uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Knuckles. Easterly lands an overhand right. Easterly ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Knuckles throws a right hand that misses
and Easterly counters with a nice uppercut. Easterly misses with a jab, cross combination.
Holden Easterly is winning the standup battle so far. Knuckles takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Easterly lands a really nice looking cross but Knuckles seems unphased.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Easterly lands a nice looking body shot.
Knuckles ducks right into an uppercut from Easterly . Easterly connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Knuckles has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Knuckles is breathing heavily. Easterly drops Knuckles with a big left hand! Knuckles is injured, injured bad! Easterly jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Hawthorne looks OK. Knudsvig waves Hawthorne back to his feet! It looks like Cohen Hawthorne has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Knudsvig is looking to land body kicks. Knudsvig dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Knudsvig circles away from the clinch attempt and Knudsvig counters with a crisp right hand that drops Hawthorne! Knudsvig lets Hawthorne back up to his feet, looking for a finish! Hawthorne is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. A head kick by Hawthorne misses and Knudsvig counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hawthorne thinking. Knudsvig cracks Hawthorne with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Hawthorne looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Knudsvig finish him?
Oh Hawthorne is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hawthorne looks to clinch and Knudsvig counters with a left to the body. Hawthorne drops his hands momentarily. Knudsvig doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Hawthorne staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Hawthorne doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Torbjørn Knudsvig! A very excited looking Torbjørn Knudsvig made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

McBean is not content to let Kersikov control the position. McBean takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. McBean tries to get back to half guard but can't. Mogh takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
And that's the end of the fight! Peter Gretel showed his dominance in that final round. Well Gretel has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch lands to the side of Prix 's head but he takes it in his stride. It looks like Cyrus Prix has been cut. Prix throws a push kick but Puno slaps the foot to one side. Prix dips to his left and cracks Puno with an uppercut! It looks like Adan Puno has been cut. Puno lands a nice shot to the body.

Puno feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Prix sprawling to the canvas! Prix rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Puno finish him?!
