Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alan West! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 36 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Krzysztof Zakrzewski! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Valeri Chadov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zakrzewski moves in looking to clinch but West pushes him off. West shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. West showed some decent athleticism there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. West with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Zakrzewski is trying to get back to full guard. Zakrzewski is controlling West's position as best he can from this difficult position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. West is controlling the pace.
Zakrzewski is looking for a sweep. West is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. West is taking a breather. Zakrzewski says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. West wants to pass to mount but Zakrzewski is defending the position. West is working hard here to advance position. Zakrzewski is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but West pulls his head out easily. West will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Zakrzewski punching from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Zakrzewski is looking to clinch. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Zakrzewski. Zakrzewski shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Zakrzewski shoots for a takedown but West saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Alan West has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Krzysztof Zakrzewski. West changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Zakrzewski looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. West knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zakrzewski on the ground. West in side control, just content to control the action for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. West bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Zakrzewski is trying to escape the position but West is controlling the position. Zakrzewski tries to bench press West off him but West keeps the position. West taking a breather here. West seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. West's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. West really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

West is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Zakrzewski can do to turn this around? West is figuring out what he wants to do next. Zakrzewski is holding on to half guard well.

With a record of 14 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Virgulino Ferreira Da Silva! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Vladimir Khabensky and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ferreira Da Silva is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Ferreira Da Silva takes a swing at Veainu's ribcage but misses. Ferreira Da Silva pushes Veainu up against the cage in a clinch. Veainu lands a hook that snaps the head of Ferreira Da Silva backwards. Veainu blocks an uppercut.
I was talking to Veainu's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Veainu creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Ferreira Da Silva is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Ferreira Da Silva leaning his opponent against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Veainu. Veainu lands a left hand.

Ferreira Da Silva looks winded! Ferreira Da Silva throws a leg kick and Veainu counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ferreira Da Silva thinking. A cross from Veainu lands. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Veainu misses with an uppercut. Ferreira Da Silva fails in his attempt to clinch. Ferreira Da Silva moves to clinch but Veainu breaks away and Veainu counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Ferreira Da Silva with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Veainu to score with a decent uppercut. It looks like Virgulino Ferreira Da Silva has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Ferreira Da Silva looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A big right from Ferreira Da Silva misses. An attempted straight right counter from Veainu misses the target. Veainu throws a looping overhand right but Ferreira Da Silva ducks down to avoid it. Veainu misses with a wild body shot. Veainu misses with a hook. Ferreira Da Silva ducked under it nicely. Ferreira Da Silva misses with a leg kick and Veainu counters with a nice body shot. A looping hook to the body misses from Veainu. Ferreira Da Silva does a little dance to reset his feet. Veainu cracks Ferreira Da Silva with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Veainu has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Ferreira Da Silva to stand back up! Ferreira Da Silva is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Veainu closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Ferreira Da Silva out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

Bash misses with a takedown and Mountain counters with a series of strikes. Bash will be more careful next time no doubt. Mountain lands with a kick to the temple. Bash shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Bash tries to move into range but Mountain moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Mountain scores with a nice strike. The fighters circle momentarily. Mountain darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mountain sizes up Bash with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mountain stalks Bash and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bash's face. Bash staggers backwards, shaken. Bash takes a shot right to the bread basket. Mountain scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Bash is trying desperately to land a takedown but Mountain is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Bash. Bash has his takedown stuffed and Mountain counters with a low kick, right behind Bash 's knee. Mountain scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bash tries for a takedown but Mountain circles away easily and Mountain counters with a three punch combo that has Bash backing up. Bash nods at Mountain to acknowledge the strikes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Crunch! Mountain slams his shin into Bash's torso. Good standup being displayed there by Mountain as he connects with a hook. Bash with a lazy takedown attempt and Mountain counters with a big head kick but Bash shrugs it off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mountain stuns Bash with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Left hook, right uppercut from Mountain. A head kick from Mountain lands but Bash takes it in his stride. Mountain turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Mountain bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bash's head backwards. Mountain looks to land a combination. Bash sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Mountain connects with the punch. Mountain cracks Bash with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mountain throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Mountain proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Bash collapses and taps out under the pressure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Farina ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Junior moves away. Junior looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Farina is fending him off so far but Junior persists. Nope, Farina circles away and we're back to standing. Junior looks for a takedown but Farina sprawls well. Farina appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Nice sprawl there from Farina as Junior shoots in. Farina tries a quick counter leg kick but Junior is wise to it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hermio Junior. That's going to take a lot out of him. Farina lands a right hook to the body.

Farina clinches up with Junior and pushes him back against the cage. Farina gets underhooks to prevent Junior's takedown attempt.
Junior is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Farina is keeping busy. Junior tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Farina smiles and moves away.

Anderson is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Oh Anderson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The ground and pound from Pfanne seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Anderson seems to have got his legs back now. Pfanne cracks Anderson with a big right hand but Anderson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pfanne lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Anderson quite badly. Anderson pulls Pfanne in close trying to recover. Pfanne postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Anderson on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Anderson doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
