With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jordan Ruiz! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruiz moves out of range of the strikes. A punch combination from Pitstain misses. Ruiz is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Pitstain with a body shot. Pitstain throws a head kick that misses and Ruiz counters with an inside leg kick. Ruiz pushes Pitstain up against the cage in a clinch. Pitstain wants to get back to striking at distance but Ruiz won't allow it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Pitstain throws a lazy body kick and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pitstain misses with a few strikes there.
Jordan Ruiz is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Ruiz has closed the distance and engaged Pitstain in a clinch.

And that's the end of the fight! Jordan Ruiz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Ruiz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kidd tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lowery was well out of range. Lowery was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Lowery sizes up Kidd with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Kidd is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Lowery rather than just go for the knockout. Kidd connects with a body shot that sends Lowery's belly button to the back. Kidd lands a jab to the nose. Kidd throws a body punch but Lowery moves out of range. A little feinted left hand from Lowery on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Kidd staying out of range there. Kidd cracks Lowery with a good jab. Kidd shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Lowery eats them both and turns towards Kidd to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Lowery misses with a right hand and Kidd counters with a three punch combo that has Lowery backing up. Lowery nods at Kidd to acknowledge the strikes. This has been an exciting period of action! Kidd ducks under a wild hook from Lowery. Lowery is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Lowery takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Lowery throws an off balance right hand
and Kidd counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kidd ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Kidd defending well as Lowery loads up on a big left hand. Lowery scores with the left hand. Kidd knows he should have avoided that one. Kidd is rocked! Kidd glances at the clock... BAM! Lowery nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Kidd crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Kidd is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ronan Harvey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clayton Price! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Price fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Harvey avoids it really well and circles away. Harvey fails with the takedown. Price darts in looking for a takedown but Harvey gets double underhooks and turns Price into the cage. Price fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ronan Harvey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clayton Price. Price closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Harvey's guard. Price preventing the sweep. Harvey is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Harvey tries to pass the half guard into mount. Price knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Harvey keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Price is concentrating on defense, preventing Harvey from advancing position.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Harvey tries to pass to full mount but Price defends it. Price is defending against the submission attempts here by Harvey.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Harvey is keen to just control but Price is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Harvey is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Price is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Price trying to control here.
Harvey is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Price is trying to get back to full guard. Price controlling the position for now. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Harvey is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Price sees it coming and defends easily.

Price wants to lay and pray for a moment but Harvey keeps working. Price goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Harvey has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Price but great work by Harvey. Harvey is looking to take a break and control but Price is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. It's a sloppy attempt though and Harvey jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Price controls Harvey momentarily but Harvey frees himself. Price has his foot on Harvey's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Harvey works his way back into a safe position though. Harvey looking to pass the guard.

Harvey swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Price feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Harvey lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Price seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Harvey sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Price's guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Harvey takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Price won't allow Harvey to pass to mount.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ronan Harvey. Well Harvey has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tanaka throws a jab but it's blocked by Vinkovic. Tanaka ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Both fighters circling a little - Tanaka finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Tanaka is looking to slow Vinkovic down with leg kicks. Vinkovic definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Tanaka throws a nice outside leg kick. Vinkovic throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. The fighters circling - Tanaka throws out the jab but it was never going to land. The fighters circle momentarily. Vinkovic darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Tanaka buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Vinkovic tests Tanaka's chin there with a solid looking shot. Tanaka throws out a loose jab but Vinkovic uses good head movement to avoid it. Frane Vinkovic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tanaka throws a nice inside leg kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Vinkovic throws an off balance right hand
and Tanaka counters with a good, hard body kick but Vinkovic shrugs it off. Vinkovic tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Tanaka counters with a nice low kick that buckles Vinkovic's knee momentarily. Tanaka throws a leg kick which misses Vinkovic's front leg but catches the back leg as Vinkovic tries to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tanaka throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Vinkovic slips under a jab from Tanaka. Some bone on bone action there as Tanaka checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Tanaka takes one to the chin there. Vinkovic takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Vinkovic throws a lazy body kick and Tanaka connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. and Tanaka counters with a good, hard body kick but Vinkovic shrugs it off. Vinkovic is breathing heavily. Tanaka defending well as Vinkovic loads up on a big left hand. Vinkovic is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Tanaka lands a right hand. Tanaka's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Tanaka takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Tanaka breaks from the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Tanaka closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Tanaka avoids the head kick by Vinkovic.
Tanaka counters with a body kick. Tanaka drops Vinkovic with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Vinkovic looks back up at him and smiles so Tanaka waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Vinkovic is rocked! Vinkovic switches off momentarily and Tanaka cracks him with a monster right hand! Vinkovic topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Tanaka dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Tanaka!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kaito Tanaka! A relieved looking Kaito Tanaka thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
