The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spagnolo thows a body kick. Pearson tries to catch it but that hurt him. Spagnolo feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pearsons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Spagnolo doesn't manage to clinch there - Pearson circles away.

We've been hearing reports that Pereira has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Pereira circles away from the clinch attempt and Pereira counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Pereira keeps the fight on the outside. Chikorita darts in trying to clinch and Chikorita takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Pereira really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Pereira changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Pereira shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Chikorita eats them both and turns towards Pereira to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Chikorita is rocked! Pereira is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Chikorita tries to clinch up and Pereira counters with a three punch combo that has Chikorita backing up. Chikorita nods at Pereira to acknowledge the strikes. Chikorita is still on wobbly legs! Can Pereira finish him? Pereira is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pereira connects with a quick right hand that sends Chikorita tumbling backwards onto the canvas! As his head bounces into the ropes, it doesn't look good for him beating the count! 3,4,5,6,7 and he's up! No, he's back down again! This one is all over - the referee has called off the fight!

Borges on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Borges has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Sansho throws a hook but Borges blocks it. It appears Borges was looking to counter with a kick there. Sansho connects with a good right hand that stumbles Borges. Borges circles away out of range and recomposes himself. It looks like Cesar Borges has been cut. Sansho looks to score with a jab to the body but Borges is just out of range. A little feinted left hand from Borges on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Sansho feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Borgess jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Sansho throws a body punch but Borges moves out of range. Sansho scores with a big combo that sends Borges crashing to the mat! He's still conscious but the referee has seen enough as Borges flops around uncontrollably and he's called an end to the fight! Sansho jumps onto the ropes and throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Gross.

His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Krause fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Birdwhistle seems to have got his legs back now. Birdwhistle walks straight into a perfectly timed right hook, crumpling him to the floor! Birdwhistle is in all kinds of trouble here - can he beat the count? 3,4,5,6,7,8,9....10 - he's out and it's by a long way too - he didn't ever look like beating that count!
