Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Robbie Lesage (ranked 1713 p4p, 3220 weight class) and Tom Huller (ranked 216 p4p, 380 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Robbie Lesage has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Robbie Lesage seems to be OK! Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robbie Lesage! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tom Huller! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Shimada and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Huller looks to throw the jab but Lesage is out of range. Lesage works over Huller's head and body with a nice combination. A telegraphed right hand from Huller misses the target. Lesage misses with an uppercut. Huller misses the shot to the body. Lesage misses with a looping right. Jab from Huller. Tom Huller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Huller tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lesage defends well and Huller ends up having to push Lesage into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Huller feints and as Lesage raises his hands in defense, Huller changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Lesage is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Lesage is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Huller defends well. Lesage not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Huller makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Huller with a flurry of punches that miss. Huller works over Lesage with some ground and pound from guard. Lesage is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Huller is aware though and is defending well. Lesage avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Lesage is looking for a triangle but Huller pushes his legs off easily.
Huller content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Huller is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Huller throwing strikes from guard but Lesage blocks nicely. Huller lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lesage escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Huller gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Huller throws a big elbow that misses. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Huller accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Huller throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Huller must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Huller postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Huller keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lesage's head. Lesage looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Huller steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Lesage. Lesage has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Huller finds it's way round the side to connect with Lesage's head. Lesage bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Huller jabs at Lesage's body. Huller misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Lesage counters with a series of strikes. Huller will be more careful next time no doubt. The fighters circling - Huller throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Huller uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lesage.
Lesage ducks under a wild hook from Huller. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Huller uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Huller keeps the fight on the outside. Lesage dips to his left and cracks Huller with an uppercut! Lesage pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Lesage tries to close the distance and clinch up but Huller swats him away and circles back towards the center. Lesage tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Huller was well out of range. Poor timing from Lesage. Lesage connects with a looping right hand.
Huller moves out of range of the strikes. Huller shoots in for a double leg but Lesage sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Huller digs a good hook to Lesage's body.
Nice uppercut lands for Huller. That snapped Lesage's head back.
Huller lands a jab to Lesage's midsection. Huller bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Lesage's head backwards. Huller uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lesage. Huller keeps the fight on the outside.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Huller with a body punch. A glancing blow. Huller uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lesage. Huller has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Huller slips under a jab from Lesage. Robbie Lesage is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Huller shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lesage manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. After the fight, Tom Huller was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jambalaya Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Richard Long! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones slips under a jab from Long. Sloppy strikes from Long. Those never looked like landing. It looked like Jones wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Jones has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Crimson Crow Combat in the buildup to the fight. Jones throws a jab but it's blocked by Long. Jones walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Long pushes Jones up against the cage in a clinch. Long stalling.
Jones lands a damaging elbow. Jones lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Long lands a good knee to the midsection. Jones won't want to take too many of those. Long is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Long scores with a jab to the jaw. Long misses with a series of wild punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. A chopping leg kick lands by Long. Richard Long seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Long walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Jones checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Long moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Long tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. We've been informed that Long has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Long connects with a leg kick. Long tried to score with a low kick but Jones checks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones misses with a looping right. Long ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Long slips a straight right by Jones. Long lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by Long. A chopping leg kick lands by Long. Long lands a jab to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Long throws a leg kick and Jones counters with a nice uppercut. Jones avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jones takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Long thows a leg kick but Jones checks it and Jones counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Long to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Jones!

Obi misses with a straight left. Obi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Perkele sees it coming and avoids it easily. Obi scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Perkele bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Perkele takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Perkele moves away from the strike by Obi. Perkele goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Chike Obi is winning the standup battle so far. Obi missing with a left hand there. Perkele was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

It looks like Porridge Wog has been cut. Kent swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Wog misses the shot to the body. Kristian Kent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kent tests Wog's chin there with a solid looking shot. Wog ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kent moves away. Wog rushes Kent and presses him up against the cage. Kent stops a takedown attempt from Wog.
Wog has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kent is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Wog fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Jones is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bond defends it well. Proh is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bensol wants to get back to his feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Holmberg tests Kong's chin there with a solid looking shot. Holmberg swings for the body but Kong moves out of range.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Holmberg has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
