Mormont tries to finish him with strikes but Chimaev still seems able to defend himself so Mormont steps back and lets Chimaev get back to his feet - he wants no part of the ground game.
Mormont rushes Chimaev with punches - Chimaev moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Chimaev goes down! Mormont follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Lee (ranked 2236 p4p, 2616 weight class) and Tommy Bubbles (ranked 248 p4p, 279 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lee might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Push Ups. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Lee misses.
Lee throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
The crowd cheers as Bubbles lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lee doesn't seem phased though.
A jab from Bubbles finds it's way through Lee's defenses.
Bubbles's coach down at Temple of Fitness was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bubbles's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Bubbles throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Lee's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Bubbles dives in looking to finish as Lee flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Bubbles's strikes! Bubbles is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Lee's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Lee was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tommy Bubbles!
Our winner, Tommy Bubbles, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Yevgraf has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Yevgraf and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Donovan was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
