Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ray Jones (ranked 341 p4p, 1741 weight class) and Anthony Ochoa (ranked 58 p4p, 225 weight class). Ochoa has chosen Gang Signs by The Game as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ray Jones! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Ochoa! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones lands a nice looking body shot.
Jones moves out of range of the body kick from Ochoa.
Ochoa takes a jab right on the kisser.
Jones fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ochoa on the side of the head. Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ochoa manages to avoid it. The fighters circling - Jones throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Jones tries to land a leg kick but Ochoa saw it coming and moves away.
Jones uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ochoa has time to react. Jones misses with a body shot
letting Ochoa counter with a right hand. Ochoa defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jones. Jones throws a push kick but Ochoa slaps the foot to one side. Ochoa looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Jones with a nice cross. Ray Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ochoa takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jones misses with the combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ochoa looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Jones jabs Ochoa to the body, keeping him at a distance. Jones lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. A big right from Jones misses. Ochoa throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A low kick from Jones misses and Ochoa counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jones thinking. Jones misses with a leg kick. Ochoa looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. A decent looking body kick lands there for Ochoa. Jones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ochoa throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Jones lands a lovely overhand right. Ochoa darts in trying to clinch letting Jones counter with a right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ochoa uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jones. Ochoa avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Ochoa tries a quick counter leg kick but Jones is wise to it. Jones swings and misses with a shot to the body and Ochoa counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A looping hook to the body misses from Jones. Ochoa does a little dance to reset his feet. A slow jab from Jones misses its intended target. Ochoa pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Ochoa on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Ochoa checks a leg kick. Jones tries to score with a low kick but Ochoa moves his leg out of the way. Ochoa tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Jones is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. A shot to the body from Jones misses and Ochoa counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ochoa. A nice left hand lands by Ochoa.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A short uppercut from Ochoa. Ochoa throws a punch but it's blocked by Jones. Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That kick from Jones tenderised Ochoa's leg. Ochoa is trying to keep his angry face on. Jones shoots for a double leg takedown but Ochoa sprawls well. He's pushed Jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Jones fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Ochoa checks it well. A little jabbing left from Ochoa on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Anthony Ochoa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nice cross by Jones. Ochoa on the wrong end of a nice hook. Ochoa lunges at Jones with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jones's hand. A big left from Jones misses. Ochoa throws out a counter right but Jones avoids it with no problem. Jones misses with a wild body shot. Ochoa uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A big left from Jones misses. A looping hook to the body misses from Jones. Ochoa does a little dance to reset his feet. Jones throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

and Ochoa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jones lands a jab to the head.

Ochoa misses the jab. Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ochoa.
Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ochoa sees it coming and avoids it easily. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Ochoa checks a leg kick. Jones throws a body shot but no joy. Jones connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Jones throws a sloppy head kick and Ochoa moves out of range easily. Ochoa replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Jones blocks it well. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ray Jones dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Ochoa with a body punch. A glancing blow. Ochoa throws a big shot that misses. A quick step to the side and Jones tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Jones misses with a jab to the body
and Ochoa makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Jones is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ochoa can do to turn this around? Jones takes a swing at Ochoa's ribcage but misses. Jones throws a looping overhand right but Ochoa ducks down to avoid it. Ochoa lands a head shot. Jones swings for the body but Ochoa moves out of range.
Jones dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Jones throws a leg kick that is checked and Ochoa counters with a lovely straight right hand! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A jab from Ochoa misses. Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Ochoa looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Jones finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones takes a swing at Ochoa's ribcage but misses. Ochoa takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Jones cracks Ochoa with an open hand slap. Jones scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ochoa doesn't seem bothered though. Ochoa throws a leg kick but Jones sees it coming and moves out of range. Jones misses with a looping right. Jones wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Jones throws a front kick aimed at Ochoa's knee but Ochoa avoids it well. Jones connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Ochoa keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Jones cracks Ochoa with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jones misses the body punch and Ochoa counters with a nice right hand that sends Jones toppling to the canvas! Jones scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Ochoa finish him?!
Jones is rocked! Jones misses with an uppercut. Oh Jones is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Ochoa drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Ochoa keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jones. Ochoa replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Jones blocks it well. Jones throws a hook to the side of Ochoa's head but Ochoa sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A nice side step and Ochoa releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Ochoa bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A slapping leg kick lands for Jones.
Jones misses with a left hand and Ochoa counters with a right hand from hell and Jones is out cold! A vicious knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Anthony Ochoa! Anthony Ochoa is the new light heavyweight champion! An out of breath and clearly excited Anthony Ochoa thanked Conviction for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
