PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Saul Goodman (ranked 1899 p4p, 1067 weight class) and Johan Joestar (ranked 81 p4p, 22 weight class). Joestar has chosen Coda - Bloody Stream as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Johan Joestar will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Saul Goodman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johan Joestar!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Russell Pearce and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goodman lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Goodman is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Joestar throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Goodman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Joestar was well out of range. Poor timing from Goodman.
Joestar tests Goodman's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Joestar throws a jab but it's blocked by Goodman.
Joestar waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Goodman.
Joestar scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Goodman wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Goodman throws an overhand right that lands on Joestar's shoulder, as Joestar tries to avoid the shot.
Goodman avoids the body shot from Joestar.

It looks like Johan Joestar has been cut.
Goodman just misses with a punch to the body.
Goodman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Joestar circles away quickly and effectively.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Joestar scores with a hook.
Joestar swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Goodman lands an overhand right.
Nice defenses there by Goodman.
Goodman wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Joestar uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Goodman.
Joestar throws a leg kick
and Joestar takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A big left from Goodman misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Goodman throws a wild body kick that Joestar sees coming a mile off.
The fighters circling - Joestar throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Goodman fails with an attempt to clinch.

An inside leg kick from Goodman misses.
Joestar takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Joestar avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Joestar checks a leg kick.
Joestar moves into range and connects with a jab.
A telegraphed right hand from Goodman misses the target.
Goodman tries to clinch but Joestar is having none of it.
Joestar avoids a punch combination nicely.

Joestar lands a left and a right that send Goodman crashing to the mat, dazed. Joestar thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Joestar uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Goodman.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Joestar loads up on a big right hand but Goodman slips the punch.
We've been told by Goodman's head coaches at Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Goodman throws a quick inside leg kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Goodman. That's going to slow Joestar down.
Goodman goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Joestar moves into range and connects with a jab.

Joestar drops Goodman with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Goodman looks back up at him and smiles so Joestar waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Goodman is rocked!
Goodman fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Oh Goodman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Goodman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Goodman seems to have got his legs back now.
Goodman lands a two punch combo.
A swing and a miss from Joestar.
Goodman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Goodman showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Joestar.
Joestar connects with the punch.
Goodman tries to close the distance and clinch but Joestar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Johan Joestar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Goodman. Joestar does a little dance to reset his feet.
Joestar thows a left - swing and a miss!
Goodman swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Goodman fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Joestar turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Joestar sends Goodman crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Joestar is motioning to the referee to let Goodman up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

It looks like Saul Goodman has been cut.
Goodman is holding his hands too far apart here. Joestar throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Goodman is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Johan Joestar!
Johan Joestar decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
