Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Davido Monto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jake Bird!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Eliza Hachem and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bird drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Monto working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Bird has passed into half guard!
Monto is looking for a sweep. Bird is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Monto manages to get to full guard.
Bird seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Monto is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bird defends well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Monto is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Monto tries to roll over but Bird keeps him under control.

Bird passes the guard and advances to mount!
Monto is desperately trying to improve his position but Bird has a good base and remains in mount.
Bird has control of Monto's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Monto regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Bird shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Monto throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Bird maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Monto could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Bird has cracked it and Monto is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Bird!
