Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sergey Shipilov (ranked 5 p4p, 46 weight class) and Dany Crosby (ranked 1 p4p, 9 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 22 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Sergey Shipilov! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 42 - 30 - 4, fighting out of Sydney, Dany Crosby! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crosby throws a lazy right hand but Shipilov sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Crosby misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Shipilov.
Crosby closes the distance and pushes Shipilov back into the cage. Shipilov throws a punch but it's blocked by Crosby. Crosby digs a right hand into Shipilov's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Shipilov's gas tank. Shipilov breaks the clinch.
Crosby takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Crosby misses the body punch and Shipilov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Dany Crosby has been cut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crosby takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Shipilov throws a body shot but no joy. Crosby has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Shipilov slips a jab from Crosby.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crosby missing with a left hand there. Shipilov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Shipilov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Crosby manages to avoid it. Crosby is looking for the big counter here. A head kick by Shipilov misses and Crosby counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Sergey Shipilov has been cut. Crosby uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Shipilov. Crosby uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Shipilov. Crosby looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Shipilov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Crosby lands with a nice body punch. Crosby tries to clinch and Shipilov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crosby connects with a body shot. Crosby bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Shipilov's head. A slow jab from Crosby misses its intended target. Crosby jabs Shipilov to the body, keeping him at a distance. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Crosby throws a looping overhand right but Shipilov ducks down to avoid it. Crosby misses with a body punch
and Shipilov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A shot to the liver by Crosby. Beautiful body shot. Crosby misses with a hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crosby avoids the head kick by Shipilov.
Shipilov throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Shipilov takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Crosby keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Shipilov. Crosby smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Crosby's corner calls for a 1-2. Crosby obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shipilov sizes up Crosby with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Shipilov throws a lazy head kick enabling Crosby to counter with a crisp jab. Crosby throws a nice looking combination but Shipilov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Crosby throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
It looked like Shipilov was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Crosby throws a lazy right hand but Shipilov sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. A jab from Shipilov misses. A nice inside leg kick there by Shipilov. That's going to slow Crosby down. Shipilov throws a sloppy head kick enabling Crosby to counter with a crisp jab. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dany Crosby dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Shipilov walks into a straight right hand from Crosby. Crosby throws a body shot but no joy. Crosby throws a lazy uppercut
and Shipilov counters with a stiff right hand. Crosby lands a big right hand that sends Shipilov crashing to the mat! Crosby stays standing though and waves Shipilov back to his feet!
Shipilov is rocked! Shipilov looks up at the clock. Bad move! Crosby lands a right hand from hell, dropping Shipilov. Crosby pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dany Crosby! Dany Crosby is the new middleweight champion! Our winner, Dany Crosby, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
