Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, David Choke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Vincent Lomax!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lomax ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Lomax pushes Choke up against the cage in a clinch.
Choke changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lomax fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Lomax throws a body shot but no joy.
Lomax throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Choke counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Choke is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Choke tries to free his leg and advance position but Lomax is retaining full guard.

Choke is fighting to break Lomax's control of his arms but Lomax is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Lomax has control of Choke's left arm, preventing Choke from doing any damage.
Lomax avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Choke postures up in Lomax's guard and throws a big left but Lomax blocks it.

Choke wants to pass the guard but Lomax is keeping the position.
Choke has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Lomax throws a front kick that sends Choke stumbling back into the cage.

Lomax gets a clinch.
Choke wants to take the fight to the mat but Lomax manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Lomax tries to land knees in the clinch but Choke avoids the damage to the body.
Choke is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lomax pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Lomax drops Choke with a big knee straight up the middle! Choke is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

It looks like David Choke has been cut.
Choke is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lomax closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Lomax can't find room to land a body shot as Choke controls the action.
Choke has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lomax after a bit of a struggle.

Choke ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Choke no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Lomax stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Choke swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lomax got a little sloppy there for a moment and Choke has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lomax has managed to get both his arms back between Choke's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Choke looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Choke is looking to advance position but Lomax won't allow it.

Choke is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lomax defends it well.
Choke has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Choke throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

David Choke overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Lomax tries to roll over but Choke keeps him under control.

Choke in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Lomax tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Choke!
