Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Valentin Taneyev (ranked 93 p4p, 498 weight class) and Bull Mfer (ranked 13 p4p, 68 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taneyev lands a head shot.
Mfer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
No joy there for Mfer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Taneyev throws a quick counter kick to the body but Mfer avoids it.
Taneyev throws a looping overhand right but Mfer ducks down to avoid it.
Bull Mfer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Taneyev gets a clinch.
Taneyev blocks the elbow strike.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Mfer.
A short right from Mfer on the inside.
A frustrated look appears on Taneyev's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Mfer tries a body shot but Taneyev blocks it.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Mfer.

It looks like Valentin Taneyev has been cut.
Taneyev blocks an elbow strike from Mfer.

Taneyev breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mfer throws a head kick that misses.
Taneyev tests Mfer's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like Bull Mfer has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mfer throws a right and a left that Taneyev avoids nicely.
Mfer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Taneyev throws a counter high kick but Mfer was just alert enough to avoid it.

Taneyev gets tackled into the cage by Mfer. Mfer maintains the clinch.
Taneyev on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Mfer throws a punch but it's blocked by Taneyev.

Taneyev's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mfer fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Taneyev manages to avoid it.
Taneyev swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Mfer lands with an uppercut that bounces Taneyev off the cage and back into range.
Mfer uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Taneyev.
Mfer throws a head kick that misses.
Mfer connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Taneyev looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Mfer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mfer fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mfer takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mfer misses with a right hand

and Taneyev counters with a nice right hand that sends Mfer toppling to the canvas! Mfer scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Taneyev finish him?!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Taneyev drops Mfer with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Mfer looks back up at him and smiles so Taneyev waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

and Taneyev counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!
