Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Death Knell (ranked 225 p4p, 387 weight class) and Jimmy Granite (ranked 38 p4p, 62 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Death Knell! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jimmy Granite ! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Dean Styles and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knell throws a lazy uppercut
and Granite counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Death Knell has been cut. Granite tries to bum rush Knell with a series of wild strikes but Knell uses good footwork to avoid the assault. We've been told by Knell's head coaches at Outlaw MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Knell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Granite lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Granite slips a jab from Knell. A head kick by Knell misses and Granite counters with a solid body kick. Granite has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Knell scores with a jab.
It looks like Jimmy Granite has been cut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Granite moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Knell drops his hands momentarily and Granite takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Granite connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Knell momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Granite looks to throw the jab but Knell is out of range. Knell was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Knell misses with an uppercut
and Granite connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Knell is rocked! Jimmy Granite is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Granite fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Knell out cold! Brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Jimmy Granite ! Jimmy Granite is the new heavyweight champion! In his post fight interview, Jimmy Granite started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
