Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ulysses Battleby (ranked 2887 p4p, 2502 weight class) and Satoshi Ekaku (ranked 304 p4p, 264 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Satoshi Ekaku!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Battleby walks into a straight right hand from Ekaku.
Battleby pushes Ekaku away with a front kick.
Battleby throws a half hearted mid kick.
Battleby looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Battleby digs a good hook to Ekaku's body.
Ekaku chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Ekaku lands a nice shot to the body.
Battleby swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A nice leg kick lands there from Battleby.
Battleby throws a body kick that misses.

Ekaku takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

and Battleby counters with a straight right hand.

Battleby drops his hands momentarily and Ekaku takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Battleby uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ekaku.
It looked like Battleby was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Ekaku.
A jab from Ekaku misses.
Battleby appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Ekaku looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Ekaku moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Battleby swings away with a body shot that misses
and Ekaku counters with a low kick, right behind Battleby 's knee.
Ekaku throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Battleby on the side of the head.
Battleby on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Battleby is rocked!
A nice leg kick lands there from Ekaku.
Battleby throws a looping overhand right but Ekaku ducks down to avoid it.
Battleby backing away here, and Ekaku unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Ekaku wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Battleby pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Battleby looks to throw a body kick
and Ekaku counters with a good, hard body kick but Battleby shrugs it off.
Battleby tries to land a front kick but Ekaku steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Battleby misses with a double jab
and Ekaku counters with a straight right hand.
Oh Battleby is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ekaku moves in close and cracks Battleby with a massive right hand! Battleby, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Ekaku!
