Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Edward Grubbs (ranked 1304 p4p, 1074 weight class) and Bofur Widenose (ranked 193 p4p, 171 weight class). Bofur Widenose has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edward Grubbs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bofur Widenose!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grubbs missing with a left hand there. Widenose was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Widenose changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
We've been informed that Widenose has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Grubbs throws a lazy uppercut

and Widenose counters with a takedown into side control.
Widenose wants to lay and pray for a moment but Grubbs keeps working.
Widenose lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Widenose swings around for an armbar but Grubbs sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Widenose's guard.
