Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Akil Paschal (ranked 1019 p4p, 969 weight class) and Mac Anudo (ranked 141 p4p, 138 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mac Anudo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Akil Paschal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Mac Anudo! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paschal gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Anudo counters by moving into the clinch. Anudo manages to break the clinch.
Paschal throws a series of punches but Anudo avoids them all with ease. Paschal fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Anudo sprawls well initially but Paschal persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Anudo looking for submissions off his back. Paschal working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Anudo's thigh. Anudo counters though and makes it back to full guard. Anudo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Anudo seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Paschal has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Paschal is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Anudo scores with a couple of nice shots.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paschal blocking the ground and pound attempt from Anudo. Paschal taking some punishment here, with Anudo in his half guard. I've been told that Anudo has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game. Anudo not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Anudo is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Paschal looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Paschal tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Anudo has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Paschal tries to get back to half guard but can't. Anudo looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anudo in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Anudo looking to control but Paschal is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Paschal keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Anudo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Paschal is working hard here to advance position. Anudo lands a big elbow. Paschal really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Anudo raining down shots from the mount! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Paschal is in all sorts of trouble here.
Anudo postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Paschal in real trouble here! The ref calls for Paschal to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mac Anudo! An out of breath Mac Anudo thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
