The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Feynman fails with an attempt to clinch.
Feynman swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Feynman has a takedown stuffed.
Silva defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Feynman.
Feynman shoots in looking for a takedown but Silva manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Feynman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Silva tries to counter with a takedown but Feynman is quick to defend against it.
Jackson Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Feynman.

Silva tries to free his leg and advance position but Feynman is retaining full guard.
Feynman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Feynman wants to improve his position but Silva is controlling well.
Silva wants to pass to mount but Feynman is defending the position.
Feynman felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
