Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chad Bartz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 19 - 0, fighting out of New York, Spencer Rubenstein!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bartz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rubenstein moves away.
Rubenstein throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Bartz takes one to the chin there.
Bartz lands with a nice combination. Rubenstein backs away looking to recover.
Bartz blocks a head kick by Rubenstein.
Rubenstein on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Bartz loads up on a big right hand but Rubenstein slips the punch.
Bartz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rubenstein pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Bartz blocks a head kick by Rubenstein.
Bartz is looking for a counter combo.
Rubenstein lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Bartz looks to score with a jab to the body but Rubenstein is just out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bartz throws a nice inside leg kick.
A swing and a miss from Rubenstein.

Rubenstein walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Bartz looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Bartz fakes the leg kick and cracks Rubenstein in the body.

Rubenstein knocks Bartz to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?

It looks like Chad Bartz has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rubenstein decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Rubenstein bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Bartz! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

Bartz is rocked!

Rubenstein decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bartz, up you get!
Bartz scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rubenstein doesn't seem bothered though.
Bartz scores with a leg kick.
Bartz jabs at Rubenstein's body.
Bartz displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rubenstein throws out the jab.
Bartz uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rubenstein.
Bartz blocks a head kick by Rubenstein.
Rubenstein looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bartz throws a solid leg kick but Rubenstein takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Bartz.
Rubenstein drops his hands momentarily and Bartz takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Spencer Rubenstein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rubenstein throws a lazy uppercut
and Bartz counters with an outside leg kick.
Rubenstein throws a lazy uppercut
and Bartz counters with a straight right hand.
Rubenstein throws a lazy uppercut
and Bartz counters with a one-two to the body.
Bartz lands a nice shot that snaps Rubenstein's head back.

Rubenstein is rocked!
Rubenstein throws a shot from downtown. Bartz moves away and avoids it.
Bartz tried to counter with a leg kick but Rubenstein avoided it.
Rubenstein is still on wobbly legs! Can Bartz finish him?
Rubenstein waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bartz.
Rubenstein seems to have recovered his senses.
Bartz smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Rubenstein throws a looping overhand right but Bartz ducks down to avoid it.
Rubenstein on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Rubenstein looks to land a left hand but Bartz moved out of range nicely.
Rubenstein misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bartz.
Rubenstein might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
A right-left combo lands from Rubenstein.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bartz blocks a head kick by Rubenstein.
Rubenstein throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bartz sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Nice jab there from Bartz.
Rubenstein throws a good cross that connects.

Bartz sends Rubenstein crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Bartz is motioning to the referee to let Rubenstein up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Bartz is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Bartz moves out of range as Rubenstein strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bartz connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Bartz cracks Rubenstein with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Rubenstein falls to his knees and Bartz doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chad Bartz!
After winning the bout, Chad Bartz thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
