Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Odin Markkanen (ranked 95 p4p, 373 weight class) and New Breed One (ranked 9 p4p, 31 weight class). Odin Markkanen could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to New Breed One's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Odin Markkanen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, New Breed One!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
One stalks Markkanen and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Markkanen's face. Markkanen staggers backwards, shaken.
One fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Markkanen avoids it really well and circles away.
Markkanen stuffs the takedown.
One throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Markkanen's waist but Markkanen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing One off to one side.
Markkanen throwing a counter right hand but One manages to avoid it.
Odin Markkanen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of New Breed One.
One throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Markkanen was covering up waiting for the punch and One finishes the takedown easily into guard.
One avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Markkanen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. One manages to get himself to full guard.
One has control of Markkanen's left arm, preventing Markkanen from doing any damage.

One is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

One has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Markkanen is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for One.

One is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

One felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

One is wriggling around trying to escape.
One sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
One tries to roll over but Markkanen keeps him under control.

Markkanen throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
One walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles One limp body while Markkanen jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
