The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Bruno Lombardi and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barella lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gretel circles away quickly and effectively.
Gretel scores with a hook to the body. Barella takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Barella works over Gretel's head and body with a nice combination.
Barella takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Barella uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gretel.
Peter Gretel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barella throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gretel.
Barella takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Gretel misses the body punch
and Barella counters with a left and a right that stings Gretel.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gretel throws a hook to the side of Barella's head but Barella sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Gretel swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Barella tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gretel smiles and moves away.

Gretel fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Barella, pushing him back against the cage.

Gretel manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Gretel throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Gretel lands a shot to the body.
Gretel lands a body shot.
Barella tries to pull guard but Gretel forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Gretel lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Gretel.
Barella jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gretel walks away with a smile on his face. Barella gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Barella takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Gretel throws a jab but it's blocked by Barella.
Barella is looking for the big counter here.

Gretel clinches.

Gretel breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gretel lands a two punch combo.

Gretel throws out a loose jab but Barella uses good head movement to avoid it.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Barella.
Gretel misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Barella.
Gretel lands a jab-cross combination.

Barella is rocked!
Gretel swings for the body but Barella moves out of range.
Barella lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Barella is still on wobbly legs! Can Gretel finish him?
Gretel moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Barella slips a jab from Gretel.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Gretel cracks Barella on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Barella falls backwards against the cage. Gretel follows up with more strikes that drop Barella to his knees. Gretel keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Barella! This one is all over!
