Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ralph Hall (ranked 684 p4p, 481 weight class) and Segundo Garcia (ranked 93 p4p, 61 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hall might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Pinball Wizard. Segundo Garcia has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ralph Hall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Segundo Garcia! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hall throws a shot to the body.
Hall misses with a straight left. Garcia only half commits to the counter leg kick. A jab from Hall misses. Garcia takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Hall misses with a series of wild punches.

Garcia throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hall stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Hall lands with a shot to the body. A slow jab from Garcia misses its intended target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No joy there for Garcia, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ralph Hall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A leg kick checked by Hall. Garcia looks to land a left hand but Hall moved out of range nicely. Garcia closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hall blocks a jab. Hall looks to throw the jab but Garcia is out of range. Garcia looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Hall has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Hall tries to clinch but fails miserably and Garcia counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Hall cracks a nice hook into Garcia's ribs. Garcia gets caught flat footed, as Hall shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Hall drops back looking for a leg! Garcia is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Garcia manages to kick Hall off! Hall jumps back into Garcia's guard. Hall drops back for a leg! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hall looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hall works his way to full guard. Good work. Hall has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Garcia can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Garcia wants to pass the guard but Hall is keeping the position. Ralph Hall dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Hall shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hall showed some decent athleticism there. Garcia has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hall is working away from the top position though. Hall is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Hall is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Garcia defends it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are battling for position here. Garcia manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Segundo Garcia has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Garcia wants to stand up but Hall has a hold of him and won't allow it. Hall wants to improve his position but Garcia is controlling well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garcia is figuring out what he wants to do next. Hall looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Garcia in particular looking to stall. Garcia moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Hall. Hall tries to bench press Garcia off him but Garcia keeps the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hall manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Garcia is trying to get back to full guard. Garcia trying to control here.

Ralph Hall dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round! Hall uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Garcia.
Hall tries to counter with a takedown but Garcia is quick to defend against it. Hall is looking to wear down Garcia with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. A looping hook to the body misses from Garcia. Hall does a little dance to reset his feet. Garcia lands a left and a right that send Hall crashing to the mat, dazed. Garcia thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Ralph Hall has been cut. Hall wants to clinch up but Garcia keeps it at a distance. Oh Hall is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Garcia throws a looping overhand right but Hall ducks down to avoid it. Hall shoots in but no luck this time. Hall seems to have got his legs back now. Hall lands with a hook. Garcia tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. A swing and a miss from Garcia. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Garcia sends Hall crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Garcia is motioning to the referee to let Hall up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Some wild striking there from Garcia.
Hall shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hall was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
That's one minute gone in the round. Hall goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Garcia has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hall but great work by Garcia. Ralph Hall overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hall is looking to reverse the position. Garcia takes a little break here. Hall wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Hall is looking for a sweep. Garcia in side control, just content to control the action for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hall tries to bench press Garcia off him but Garcia keeps the position. Hall gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Hall actively working from the bottom here. Hall is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Garcia pulls his head out easily. Garcia looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garcia works his way into side control. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Hall is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Garcia off and has taken his back! Hall is persistently looking for the submission but Garcia is defending it well.
Hall is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Garcia is defending well though. Hall let's go of the attempt for now. Garcia trying to control the hands but Hall won't let him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hall is looking for a choke. Garcia gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Garcia manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard. Garcia trying to control the position from guard on top but Hall is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Garcia throws a big elbow that misses. Hall has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Garcia is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hall.
And that's the end of the fight! Segundo Garcia comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Hall has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Ralph Hall! In his post fight interview, Ralph Hall started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
