Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trouble Somer (ranked 3286 p4p, 5942 weight class) and Donnie Hawkins (ranked 337 p4p, 509 weight class). Trouble Somer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Trouble Somer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Donnie Hawkins!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hawkins closes the distance and clinches.

Somer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hawkins tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hawkins throws a right and a left that both miss.
A quick step to the side and Somer tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Hawkins clinches with his opponent.

Hawkins closes the distance looking to clinch
and Somer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hawkins shoots and misses
and Somer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Hawkins gets a clinch.

Somer manages to break the clinch.

Hawkins fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Somer, pushing him back against the cage.

Hawkins pulls guard effortlessly.
Somer trying to control but Hawkins is working from the bottom.

Somer drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hawkins looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hawkins looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hawkins!

Somer is trying to get back to half guard.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Somer tries to improve position but can't.

Hawkins is looking to take a break and control but Somer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Somer is trying to get back to half guard.
Somer is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Somer wants to control the action here but instead Hawkins manages to pass to full mount!
Somer tries to hold on but Hawkins pushes him away.
Somer is trying to escape the mount.
Hawkins controlling from the full mount.
Hawkins wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
Somer is wriggling around trying to escape.

Somer keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Hawkins sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Somer wants to hold on but Hawkins pushes him away.
Somer is in all sorts of trouble here.
Hawkins takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Hawkins can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Somer is looking to escape.

Hawkins wants to finish this one by submission but Somer is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Hawkins.
Somer is trying to escape the mount.

Somer regains half guard.
Somer wants to control but Hawkins is keeping busy.

Somer looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Hawkins passes the guard and advances to mount!
Hawkins wants to control the pace but Somer is squirming around nicely.
Somer manages to control the position for a moment.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Donnie Hawkins dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Hawkins fails with the takedown
letting Somer counter with a right hand.
Somer throws out a loose jab but Hawkins uses good head movement to avoid it.

Hawkins gets a clinch.

Somer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hawkins looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hawkins fails with a takedown attempt.
It looked like Somer wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Trouble Somer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Donnie Hawkins.
Hawkins tries for a takedown but Somer circles away easily
and Somer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Somer is looking to counter punch.

and Somer counters with a crisp right hand that drops Hawkins! Somer lets Hawkins back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Hawkins tries to clinch but Somer is having none of it.
Hawkins shoots in but Somer avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hawkins is breathing heavily.
Somer keeps the fight on the outside.
A little feinted left hand from Somer on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hawkins wants to clinch up but Somer keeps it at a distance.
Somer swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Hawkins wants to clinch but Somer slips to the side

and Somer counters with a crisp right hand that drops Hawkins! Somer lets Hawkins back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Hawkins is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hawkins throws a leg kick
and Somer counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Hawkins out cold! What a finish! Somer is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Trouble Somer!
