Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marko Jankovic (ranked 457 p4p, 1304 weight class) and Aleks Nik (ranked 55 p4p, 180 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marko Jankovic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aleks Nik!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nik slips a jab from Jankovic.
Jankovic lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
It looks like Aleks Nik has been cut.

Aleks Nik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That was a close second round but I would say that Marko Jankovic will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

That has opened up Aleks Nik's cut even more.
A right hook to the body lands for Jankovic.
Jankovic works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Jankovic is pressed up against the cage. Nik has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jankovic down to the mat. Jankovic avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Nik changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jankovic tries to avoid it but Nik manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jankovic to the ground. Jankovic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Nik misses with an uppercut
and Jankovic makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Nik really felt that one!
Jankovic bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Nik is rocked!
Nik gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Jankovic scores with a counter punch that sends Nik to the canvas! Jankovic smells blood - he's punishing Nik with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Nik has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marko Jankovic!
