Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tai Kina (ranked 1952 p4p, 2866 weight class) and Hassan Al Hikmah (ranked 240 p4p, 345 weight class). Hassan Al Hikmah has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tai Kina!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Hassan Al Hikmah!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kina looking to score a takedown here. Al Hikmah is defending well but Kina drives through and ends up in Al Hikmah's guard.
Kina with a nice head shot there.
Kina throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Al Hikmah works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kina controls from within his opponent's guard.
Al Hikmah is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kina trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Kina controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kina is in close to Al Hikmah's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Al Hikmah really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kina. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kina definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Kina distracts Al Hikmah with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kina with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Kina lands a couple of elbows.
Kina content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Al Hikmah is trying to keep Kina in close.

Kina is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Kina makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Al Hikmah has momentary wrist control but Kina slips an elbow through the middle.

Kina avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kina postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Kina passes Al Hikmah's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Kina controlling the pace.
Kina is nestled in close to Al Hikmah, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Kina lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Kina passes to side control.
Al Hikmah is looking to reverse the position.
Kina is staying tight to Al Hikmah's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Kina works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Kina trying to control the action but Al Hikmah is working from the bottom.
Al Hikmah struggling a bit here.
We've been informed that Al Hikmah has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Al Hikmah wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Kina scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Al Hikmah to see if he's OK.
Kina has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Al Hikmah tries to buck Kina off but Kina is having none of it.
Kina landing a few strikes.
Al Hikmah is trying to improve his position.
Kina lands a nice forearm strike.
Kina cracks Al Hikmah with a big elbow.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kina advances to full mount.

Kina has hold of Al Hikmah's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Al Hikmah manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
BOOM! Kina connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Kina postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Al Hikmah looks a forlorn figure.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Tai Kina dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Al Hikmah throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A slow jab from Kina misses its intended target.
Al Hikmah throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kina sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Al Hikmah throws a hook but Kina blocks it.
Al Hikmah cracks Kina with an open hand slap.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Al Hikmah enables Kina to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Al Hikmah manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Kina keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Al Hikmah's head.
Kina passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Kina is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Al Hikmah can do to turn this around?

Kina is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Kina!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Tai Kina!
Tai Kina gave a mention to Northern Zombie in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
