Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Terrence Gordy (ranked 2623 p4p, 2644 weight class) and Mario Santos (ranked 241 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Terrence Gordy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Mario Santos!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Gordy tries to pull guard but Santos holds him up against the cage and eventually Gordy drops back down to his feet.
Gordy tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Santos smiles and moves away.

and Santos counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Santos scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Santos has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Gordy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Santos walks away with a smile on his face. Gordy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Terrence Gordy. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Santos counters with a nice uppercut.

and Gordy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Santos scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Gordy clinches up with Santos and pushes him back against the cage.

Gordy is rocked!
Santos is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Gordy had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Santos connects with a right hand. Gordy shakes it off.
Oh Gordy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Santos closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Gordy! Santos dives in looking to finish! Gordy is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mario Santos!
