The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smithers tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mathieu was well out of range. Poor timing from Smithers.
Mathieu moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
We've been told by Mathieu's head coaches at Convicted Top Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Smithers will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Oooooh!!! Mathieu has knocked Smithers down with a huge combo! Mathieu steps away and waves a wobbly Smithers back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Smithers is aggressively charging in as Mathieu backs up avoiding any damage. Mathieu tosses out a jab and Smithers runs right into it face first! Smithers is out cold! Mathieu dropped down on all fours and is barking in Smithers's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ernesto Mathieu!
Ernesto Mathieu decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
