Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tali Ihantala (ranked 7 p4p, 62 weight class) and Andrei Kersikov (ranked 1 p4p, 5 weight class). Kersikov has chosen Head of the Table as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrei Kersikov!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kersikov throws a leg kick
and Ihantala counters with a stiff right hand.
Ihantala misses with a straight right.
Kersikov stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ihantala.
Ihantala misses with a double jab
and Kersikov counters with a body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ihantala misses with a hook.
A jab from Kersikov finds it's way through Ihantala's defenses.
Kersikov throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kersikov tries to land a front kick but Ihantala steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Kersikov scores with a kick to the midsection.
Ihantala is breathing heavily.
Kersikov looks to land a left hand but Ihantala moved out of range nicely.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Kersikov.
Kersikov fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Ihantala misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Kersikov to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Tali Ihantala has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kersikov misses with a hook to the body
and Ihantala counters with a two punch combo.
Kersikov throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ihantala stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kersikov throws a nice outside leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

BAM! Kersikov delivers a spinning backfist that drops Ihantala like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
