Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, African King!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for King with that takedown attempt.
King has a takedown stuffed.

King moves into the clinch.

Watkins breaks the clinch.
King throws a head kick but Watkins moves out of range.

King shoots in and gets a takedown into Watkins's guard.
Watkins manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. King manages to get himself to full guard.

Watkins pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. King is keeping the position for now.

King had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Watkins defends it easily.
King looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Watkins gets to his feet - King follows without any prompting.

Watkins moves into range and clinches up with King.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Watkins as King tries to tie him up.
Watkins wants to break free but King has control.
King tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Watkins takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Watkins.
King is trying to pull guard but Watkins has him pressed against the cage.
Craig Watkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of African King.
King has a couple of punches blocked by Watkins.

King jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Watkins walks away with a smile on his face. King gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
King shoots in but no luck this time.
Watkins throws a sloppy head kick and King moves out of range easily.
King raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Watkins swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Watkins works King's body with a nice hook.
Watkins lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but King circles away quickly and effectively.
Watkins throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
King fails with a takedown attempt.
Watkins misses with a body shot.
Watkins throws a body punch but King moves out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A solid body kick from Watkins.
Watkins connects with a leg kick.
King slips under a jab from Watkins.
King tries to counter by closing the distance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Watkins moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Watkins uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

It looks like African King has been cut.
Watkins looks to throw a body kick
and King counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Watkins is lucky that one didn't land flush.
King tries to clinch up.
Watkins tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but King was well out of range. Poor timing from Watkins.
King takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Watkins tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A nice leg kick lands there from King.
Watkins uses good head movement to avoid the hook from King.
Watkins scores with a decent looking hook.
Nice sprawl there from Watkins as King shoots in.
Craig Watkins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
King shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Watkins sprawls well. Watkins wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. King gets slowly back to his feet.
Watkins is looking to wear down King with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Watkins moves into the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Watkins is trying to force a seperation but King has the dominant position.
Watkins wants to break the clinch but can't.
King goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
King jumps guard but Watkins turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
King tries to pull guard but Watkins holds him up against the cage and eventually King drops back down to his feet.
Watkins blocks a body shot from King.
King has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Watkins is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
King letting Watkins take a breather here.

Watkins breaks the clinch.
Watkins throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Jab, jab by Watkins - just one landing.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Craig Watkins dominated that round.
The cut man is working on African King's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Watkins throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

King is still looking wobbly from the end of the last round!
King throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
King is still on wobbly legs! Can Watkins finish him?
A head kick by Watkins - that's a beauty! King is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Watkins can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Craig Watkins!
During a confident post fight interview, Craig Watkins thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
