Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake Bird (ranked 33 p4p, 648 weight class) and Quebra Cranio (ranked 5 p4p, 88 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 1, fighting out of London, Quebra Cranio!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bird ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cranio moves away.
It seemed like Cranio was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Bird misses with a wild body shot.
Cranio steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bird.
Bird misses with a hook to the body
and Cranio counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bird lands a nice hook to Cranio's body. Cranio takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bird. Cranio does a little dance to reset his feet.
Cranio now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Bird has taken the fight to the clinch.
Bird misses with a hook from the clinch.
Bird goes for a takedown in the clinch but Cranio prevents it.
Bird tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cranio smiles and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bird misses with a lunging right hand
and Cranio counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Cranio moves forwards but Bird connects with a nice, crisp jab.

and Cranio counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Bird rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Cranio counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bird throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Cranio counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Bird throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cranio let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Bird throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Cranio counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A cross from Bird lands.
A combination from Bird does no damage.
Cranio lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Bird jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Cranio appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Bird misses with a hook. Cranio ducked under it nicely.
Cranio throws out a counter right but Bird avoids it with no problem.
Cranio takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Bird. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bird throws an off balance right hand
and Cranio counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bird fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bird throws a jab but it's blocked by Cranio.
As Bird backs off Cranio throws a huge counter combo but Bird manages to avoid it all.

and Bird takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Cranio takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Cranio is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Bird had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Cranio slips under a jab from Bird.
Cranio throws out a counter right but Bird avoids it with no problem.
Bird lands a jab to Cranio's midsection.

Bird misses with an uppercut
and Cranio counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bird fails to land the takedown.
Bird throws a sloppy body shot
and Cranio counters with a straight right hand.
Bird lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Bird connects with a nice looking jab.
Bird tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Cranio now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Cranio is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Bird moves into the clinch successfully.
Bird changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cranio fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Bird dips to his left and cracks Cranio with an uppercut!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Cranio moves away from the strike by Bird.
Cranio appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Cranio has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Cranio misses with a wild body shot.
Bird feinted with a counter takedown.
Bird is trying hard to land a takedown here. Cranio sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Cranio takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

enabling Cranio to counter with a crisp jab.
Cranio keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Cranio is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Cranio throws a lazy right hand but Bird sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Cranio counters with a nice right hand that sends Bird toppling to the canvas! Bird scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Cranio finish him?!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Quebra Cranio will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Cranio drops Bird with a straight right hand, right on the button! Cranio follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Quebra Cranio!
