Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ben Solomon (ranked 1405 p4p, 2439 weight class) and Russian Bear (ranked 181 p4p, 308 weight class). Ben Solomon could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Russian Bear's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ben Solomon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Russian Bear!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Solomon misses.
A combination from Bear does no damage.
A lazy left from Solomon finds it's target.
Bear swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bear dives in and grabs Solomon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Solomon pushes down on Bear's head and hops out.

Solomon tries to sprawl but Bear drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Bear thows a huge punch but Solomon dodges it nicely.
Bear has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Bear is trying to control. Solomon wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Solomon is looking to escape.
Bear trying to mount his opponent but Solomon defends it.
Solomon's coaches at Bronk´s GYM have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

Bear is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Bear is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Solomon doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bear.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bear throwing strikes but missing.
Bear throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Bear is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Bear wants to control from the top but Solomon keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Bear misses with a two punch combination.
Solomon scores with a jab to the head.
Bear looks for a takedown but Solomon sprawls well.

Solomon gets caught napping as Bear dives in and scores a takedown. Solomon manages to retain guard.
Bear trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Bear stops Solomon from standing up.
Bear postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Solomon seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Bear trying to control but Solomon is working from the bottom.
Bear passes Solomon's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Solomon tries to roll over but Bear keeps him under control.

Bear is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Solomon is just riding it out for now. Bear eventually gives up the hold.
Solomon wants to get back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bear not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Bear seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Solomon does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Bear perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Russian Bear dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Bear wants to clinch up but Solomon keeps it at a distance.
Solomon throws a body shot but no joy.
Solomon just misses with a punch to the body.
Bear tries to clinch up but Solomon circles away and keeps his distance.

Solomon gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bear controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Solomon is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bear accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bear throws a big right hand that misses.
Bear throws a big elbow that misses.
Bear throws an elbow that misses. Solomon uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bear's guard. Nice move by Solomon!

Russian Bear has got the better of the ground game so far.

Bear is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Solomon defends well.

Bear throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Bear has his foot on Solomon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Solomon works his way back into a safe position though.

Bear working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Solomon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Bear is tightening it up a little... Solomon has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Solomon reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Solomon taps out! Nice BJJ there by Bear!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Russian Bear!
Russian Bear really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Un-Kaged Nutrition logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
