Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mehdi Kanaani (ranked 500 p4p, 1876 weight class) and Dan Averescu (ranked 63 p4p, 257 weight class). Kanaani comes to the cage accompanied by Dr. Dre ft. Snoop Dogg - Nuthin' But A G Thang. Averescu comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Guns N' Roses - Welcome To The Jungle kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Mehdi Kanaani had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dan Averescu!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Averescu looks to land a left hand but Kanaani moved out of range nicely.
Kanaani connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Averescu throws a looping overhand right but Kanaani ducks down to avoid it.
Dan Averescu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looked like Kanaani was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Kanaani uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Averescu has time to react.
Averescu fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kanaani on the side of the head.
Averescu might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Oooh a lovely combination from Kanaani sends Averescu down but not out. Kanaani dives into side control looking to finish.

Kanaani in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Averescu looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Kanaani turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
