Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Nolan (ranked 937 p4p, 1364 weight class) and Wes Ekwall (ranked 51 p4p, 67 weight class). Ekwall has chosen Enter the Sandman as his entrance music. Wes Ekwall has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 25 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Nolan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wes Ekwall! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Darius Henderson and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Ekwall misses its intended target. Ekwall stalks Nolan and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Nolan's face. Nolan staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Jon Nolan has been cut. A big right from Ekwall misses. Nolan was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Nolan keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ekwall. Ekwall misses with a hook
and Nolan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Wes Ekwall has been cut. Ekwall rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Nolan counters with a nice right hand that sends Ekwall toppling to the canvas! Ekwall scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Nolan finish him?! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ekwall misses with a head kick.
Nolan throws a series of punches but Ekwall avoids them all with ease. Ekwall throws the left hand but Nolan avoids the punch easily. Ekwall misses with a kick to the body and Nolan counters with a stiff right hand. Ekwall throws a hook but Nolan avoids it easily. Ekwall throws a right and a left that both miss. Ekwall's corner calls for a 1-2. Ekwall obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Nolan drops Ekwall with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Ekwall looks back up at him and smiles so Nolan waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Ekwall is rocked! Ekwall throws a nice looking combination but Nolan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Ekwall is still on wobbly legs! Can Nolan finish him?
That's one minute gone in the round. Ekwall throws a right hand that misses
and Nolan counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Ekwall off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Nolan follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Ekwall was out before he hit the floor.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jon Nolan! Jon Nolan took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title. Wes Ekwall spoke after the fight, saying 'I will tell you. I have been hit harder by hooker's thighs. He has heart and is most likely using roids. No other way he can beat me. '.
