The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Valverde misses the target.

and Christ counters with a nice uppercut.
Christ throws a hook to the side of Valverde's head but Valverde sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Valverde throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Christ sees it coming and avoids it easily.
It seemed like Christ was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Christ throws a right and a left that Valverde avoids nicely.

Christ throws a hook to the side of Valverde's head but Valverde sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Christ takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A punch lands to the side of Christ 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Christ paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Valverde uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Christ.
Valverde swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Valverde uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Christ has time to react.

Christ is rocked!
Valverde lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Christ falls backwards - clearly groggy! Valverde dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
