Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Antony (ranked 2034 p4p, 2010 weight class) and Gaius Marius (ranked 302 p4p, 300 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Antony! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 9 - 1, fighting out of New York, Gaius Marius! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Ackerman and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Antony on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Marius. Marius obviously looking to wear him down.
Marius's coach down at Tran MMA Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Marius's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Marius slips under a jab from Antony. Marius throws a body shot but no joy. Antony throws the left hand but Marius avoids the punch easily. Marius moves out of range as Antony strikes. Marius swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Antony looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Marius throws a leg kick that is checked and Antony counters with a nice uppercut. Marius throws a front kick aimed at Antony's knee but Antony avoids it well. Marius thuds a left hand into Antony's body. Marius throws a right hand that misses
and Antony counters with a good, hard body kick but Marius shrugs it off. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marius misses with a shot to the body letting Antony counter with a right hand. Antony misses with a leg kick and Marius counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Marius throws a leg kick that is checked and Antony cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Antony throws a leg kick but Marius sees it coming and checks it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Antony dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Marius's jab looks to have found its range, popping Antony under the eye. Antony blocks a jab. Antony is looking to counter punch. Marius swings widly with a right hand
and Antony counters with a crisp right hand that drops Marius! Antony lets Marius back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Marius is rocked! A jab from Antony misses. Marius is still on wobbly legs! Can Antony finish him? Marius looks to score with a jab to the body but Antony is just out of range. Antony feinted there with a counter leg kick. Marius seems to have recovered his senses. This has been an exciting period of action! Marius lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Marius turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Antony connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Antony drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Antony attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marius buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Marius misses the jab. Antony thinks about countering with a head kick. A low kick from Marius misses and Antony counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Marius misses the shot to the body. Marius with a body punch. A glancing blow. Marius throws a leg kick that is checked and Antony counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Marius avoids the body shot from Antony.
Antony on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Marius with a nice calf kick. Marius throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marius fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Marius misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Antony.
Antony half committed to a counter leg kick. Marius attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Antony looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Antony drops Marius with a beautiful combination! Marius stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Antony is looking for the KO! Marius keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
A head kick misses from Marius. Antony appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Antony throws out a loose jab but Marius uses good head movement to avoid it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Marius connects with a leg kick. Antony throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Nice jab there from Marius. Marius lands a high kick!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Antony throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Marius sees it coming and avoids it easily. Marius looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Marius does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Marius misses the shot to the body. Antony tried to counter with a leg kick but Marius avoided it. Marius connects with a leg kick. A head kick by Marius misses and Antony counters with a right hand to the body. Antony ducks under a wild hook from Marius. Antony seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Antony misses with a hook to the body
and Marius makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Gaius Marius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Marius moves away from the strike by Antony. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Marius throws a head kick that misses. Antony swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Antony moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Antony tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mark Antony will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The fighters circle momentarily. Marius darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Antony staying out of range there. Marius tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Antony manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. It looked like Antony was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Marius throws a poor cross that misses
and Antony counters with a low kick, right behind Marius 's knee. Antony misses the shot to the body. Marius wants to counter the offense by Antony and move into the clinch position. Marius throws a lazy uppercut
and Antony counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Marius throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Marius scores with a jab. Antony acknowledges it with a nod of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marius wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Mark Antony is winning the standup battle so far. Antony thows a body kick. Marius tries to catch it but that hurt him. Antony looks to throw the jab but Marius is out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marius throws a head kick that misses and Antony counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Marius in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Marius throws a lazy head kick and Antony counters with a stiff right hand. and Antony counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Marius! He's just covering up as Antony starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Antony! An out of breath Mark Antony thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
