The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Cisse misses the target.
Patterson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Patterson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cisse's head backwards.
Cisse scores with the left hand. Patterson knows he should have avoided that one.
It looks like Jerricho Patterson has been cut.
Cisse lands a jab to the head.
Cisse throws a lazy right hand but Patterson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Patterson looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Patterson moves out of range as Cisse strikes.
Patterson slips a straight right by Cisse.
Patterson throws a sloppy head kick and Cisse moves out of range easily.
Nice shot lands for Cisse.
We've been told by Cisse's head coaches at New York Public Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Patterson looks to land a body kick but Cisse moved away.
Cisse throws a looping overhand right but Patterson ducks down to avoid it.
Cisse misses with a straight left.
Cisse throws the left hand but Patterson avoids the punch easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Patterson connects with a high kick.
Jab, jab by Cisse - just one landing.
Cisse connects with a good right hand that stumbles Patterson. Patterson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Patterson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Patterson moves away from the strike by Cisse.
Cisse ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Patterson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cisse throws out the jab.
Patterson feints a counter leg kick.
Cisse misses with a hook.
Patterson ducks under a wild hook from Cisse.
Patterson lands with a kick to the ribs.
Patterson lands a big head kick that sends Cisse tumbling to the mat! Patterson takes a step backwards and waves Cisse back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Cisse is rocked!
It looks like Ousmane Cisse has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cisse misses with a lunging right hand
and Patterson counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!
