Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jason Stackhouse (ranked 2256 p4p, 1804 weight class) and Richmond Belvedere (ranked 297 p4p, 241 weight class). Stackhouse comes to the cage accompanied by True Blood. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 18 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Stackhouse !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richmond Belvedere!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Reed Andrews and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stackhouse misses the body punch
and Belvedere counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Stackhouse needs to keep his hands up - Belvedere had a free shot at his head there.
Belvedere throws a shot to the body.

Stackhouse gets caught flat footed, as Belvedere shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Belvedere postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Stackhouse is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Belvedere, into his guard.


Belvedere working for submissions but it's allowed Stackhouse to get to half guard.

Belvedere is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Stackhouse pulls his head out easily.

Stackhouse wants to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Stackhouse escapes and gets back to his feet.
Stackhouse throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Belvedere throws a left and a right that both miss
and Stackhouse counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Stackhouse throws a hook but Belvedere avoids it easily.
Despite the aggression on Belvedere's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Stackhouse lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Stackhouse throws a body shot but no joy.
A telegraphed right hand from Stackhouse misses the target.
Nice uppercut there from Belvedere.
Stackhouse lands a nice looking body shot.
Stackhouse moves into range and connects with a jab.
Belvedere avoids the body shot from Stackhouse .
Belvedere scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stackhouse feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Belvederes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Belvedere, as that shot connected.

Stackhouse tries to land a leg kick but Belvedere saw it coming and moves away.

Stackhouse feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Belvedere sprawling to the canvas! Belvedere rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Stackhouse finish him?!

Belvedere is rocked!

It looks like Richmond Belvedere has been cut.
Belvedere takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Belvedere is still on wobbly legs! Can Stackhouse finish him?
Stackhouse fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Stackhouse is looking to wear down Belvedere with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Stackhouse fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Belvedere to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Belvedere looks to clinch but Stackhouse throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Belvedere taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Jason Stackhouse !
A very excited looking Jason Stackhouse made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
