Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Bronte (ranked 513 p4p, 724 weight class) and Sol Peters (ranked 34 p4p, 31 weight class). Bronte comes to the cage accompanied by Buffalo Charge by Dub Phizix and Strategy. Peters has chosen Body by Sinéad Harnett as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bob Bronte!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sol Peters!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters throws a hook but Bronte avoids it easily.
We've been hearing reports that Bronte has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Bob Bronte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bronte throws a body shot but no joy.
Peters was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Peters fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
A bone on bone clash there as Bronte blocks the leg kick.
Bronte doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Bronte fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

It looks like Sol Peters has been cut.

Peters loads up on a big right hand but Bronte slips the punch.

That has opened up Sol Peters's cut even more.
Peters has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Bronte gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Peters makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Peters throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Bronte pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
A clash of legs there as Bronte blocks the low kick.
Peters moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Peters throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sol Peters is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Peters works the jab nicely.
Bronte stalks Peters and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Peters's face. Peters staggers backwards, shaken.
Bronte walks into a stiff left hand from Peters.

and Peters counters with a slapping leg kick.
Bronte takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Bronte throws a body punch but Peters moves out of range.

Bronte forces Peters back against the cage and clinches.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bronte tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Peters wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Bronte has him pressed against the cage.

Bronte breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bronte ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Peters moves away.
Peters scores with a punch to the head.
Peters tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bronte was well out of range. Poor timing from Peters.
Peters throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Peters looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
A big right from Bronte misses.
Bronte stalks Peters and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Peters's face. Peters staggers backwards, shaken.

The cut above Sol Peters's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Peters wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Peters takes a swing at Bronte's ribcage but misses.
Bronte tries to clinch
enabling Peters to counter with a crisp jab.
Decent striking displayed by Bronte there.
Bronte avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Peters throws a leg kick which misses Bronte's front leg but catches the back leg as Bronte tries to avoid it.
Bronte fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Peters on the side of the head.

Sol Peters's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Peters moves out of range of the strikes.
Bronte wants to clinch.

Bronte uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Peters.
Peters changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Peters moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Bronte gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Peters misses with a kick to the body.
Bronte throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Peters throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Bronte takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Bronte is breathing heavily.
Peters pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Peters jabs at Bronte's body.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Peters bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bronte's head.

Peters feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Bronte sprawling to the canvas! Bronte rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Peters finish him?!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Peters keeps Bronte at a distance using the push kick.
Bob Bronte has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Peters misses with a body kick.
Bronte fails with the takedown.
A punch lands to the side of Bronte 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Bronte throws a hook but Peters avoids it easily.
Bronte tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Peters throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Bronte is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Peters lands a right hook to the body.

Peters lands a left and a right that send Bronte crashing to the mat, dazed. Peters thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Bronte is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Peters scores with a kick to the body.
Oh Bronte is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bronte on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Bronte bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Peters comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Bronte falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Bronte was out before he hit the floor!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sol Peters!
A very excited looking Sol Peters made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
