Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Linkavitch Chomofsky (ranked 564 p4p, 647 weight class) and Darius Ghetea (ranked 72 p4p, 87 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Chomofsky might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Mastodon - Sleeping Giant. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Linkavitch Chomofsky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darius Ghetea!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ghetea doesn't manage to clinch there - Chomofsky circles away.
Ghetea throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Ghetea clinches up against the cage.
Chomofsky pushes Ghetea back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Ghetea tries to work over Chomofsky's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Ghetea breaks the clinch.
Chomofsky looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Chomofsky throws out a loose jab but Ghetea uses good head movement to avoid it.
Chomofsky feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Gheteas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Chomofsky feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Chomofsky wants to control from the top but Ghetea keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chomofsky is looking to advance position but Ghetea has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Chomofsky is desperately trying to improve his position but Ghetea has a good base and remains in mount.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ghetea wants to control but instead Chomofsky manages to regain half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chomofsky tries to get to full guard but Ghetea has control of the leg.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Darius Ghetea will probably get the nod.
That's time! Chomofsky's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Chomofsky is pushing down on Ghetea's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ghetea is fighting to maintain full guard but Chomofsky has managed to sneak the leg through.
Ghetea is in trouble now - Chomofsky has advanced to mount!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chomofsky is looking for submissions but instead, Ghetea has regained full guard.

Chomofsky throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ghetea works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Ghetea pulls Chomofsky in close to prevent any damage.
Chomofsky looking to sit in guard and control but Ghetea gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Chomofsky is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Chomofsky is looking to control Ghetea's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Chomofsky avoid being mounted?

Ghetea content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Chomofsky is looking for a sweep. Ghetea is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Still in half guard, Ghetea seems content to control.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Chomofsky works his way to full guard. Good work.
Chomofsky manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ghetea manages to get himself to full guard.

Chomofsky wants to control from the top but Ghetea keeps moving.

Ghetea is pulling down on Chomofsky's head to control his posture.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Linkavitch Chomofsky dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Ghetea is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Chomofsky shoots in for a double leg but Ghetea sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Chomofsky thuds his right hand into Ghetea's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Ghetea fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Chomofsky manages to avoid it.

Chomofsky shoots in for a takedown but Ghetea shows good takedown defense.
Ghetea tries to counter with a clinch but Chomofsky shakes him off and moves away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

I think Ghetea has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
