Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tomahawk Chai (ranked 1956 p4p, 24298 weight class) and Lasse Virinen (ranked 296 p4p, 624 weight class). Virinen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Rumble. Lasse Virinen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Virinen lands with a straight right. Chai didn't see that one coming.
Virinen throws a low kick but Chai moves out of range easily.
Chai throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
It seemed like Virinen was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Virinen lands a nice looking body shot.
Virinen avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Chai lunges at Virinen with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Virinen's hand.

Virinen rushes Chai and presses him up against the cage.
Chai throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Virinens head.
Chai swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Virinen lands a left hand that snaps the head of Chai backwards.

Virinen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Virinen throws a good cross that connects.
Chai ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Chai works over Virinen's head and body with a nice combination.

It looks like Lasse Virinen has been cut.

and Virinen holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Chai manages to break the clinch.
Virinen connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Virinen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Chai.

Chai walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Virinen checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Virinen misses with a hook.
Chai connects with an inside leg kick.
Virinen throws a front kick that sends Chai stumbling back into the cage.
Chai takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Virinen looks to land a right hand but Chai moved out of range.
Virinen lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Virinen looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
A telegraphed right hand from Chai misses the target.
Virinen looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Chai throws a leg kick but Virinen sees it coming and moves out of range.

Virinen with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Chai pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Virinen throws out a counter right but Chai avoids it with no problem.
Chai slips a jab from Virinen.
Chai checks a low kick from Virinen.
Virinen throws an off balance right hand

and Chai counters with a crisp one two that drops Virinen! Chai thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Virinen to his feet! Virinen is in big trouble!

We've been told by Chai's head coaches at Master Chai's Dojo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Chai connects with a body shot.
Virinen is still on wobbly legs! Can Chai finish him?
Chai is stalking Virinen. Virinen circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Chai, and it's lights out! Virinen really payed the price for that rookie mistake.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tomahawk Chai!
A very excited looking Tomahawk Chai made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
