Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kamil Marek (ranked 777 p4p, 1811 weight class) and Akahoshi Hisashi (ranked 104 p4p, 245 weight class). Hisashi has chosen Feng Shui as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Akahoshi Hisashi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kamil Marek! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akahoshi Hisashi! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hisashi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Marek. Hisashi looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Hisashi is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
It looks like Kamil Marek has been cut. Akahoshi Hisashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Marek doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Hisashi misses with a jab to the body
and Marek counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Marek tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hisashi was well out of range. Poor timing from Marek. Hisashi has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Hisashi throws a hook but Marek blocks it. Marek throws a body shot but no joy. Hisashi slips under a jab. A combination from Marek does no damage. Hisashi throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Marek swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Marek misses with an uppercut. Hisashi saw that one coming. Hisashi misses with a looping right. Marek looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Hisashi misses with a telegraphed body shot
letting Marek counter with a right hand. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Marek slips under a jab from Hisashi. Hisashi misses with a few strikes there.
A counter left hand to the body from Marek misses its target. Hisashi throws a hook but Marek blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hisashi scores with a nice strike. Marek on the wrong end of a nice jab. Marek waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hisashi. Marek walks into a straight right hand from Hisashi. Marek uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hisashi. Marek gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Nice defenses there by Marek. Hisashi scores with a sloppy right hand. Marek should have avoided that one. Good shot there by Hisashi.
Marek is rocked!
Kamil Marek's cut is getting worse. Marek avoids a lazy jab quite easily. This has been an exciting period of action! Hisashi throws a lazy right hand but Marek sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Hisashi lands with a nice body punch. Hisashi cracks Marek with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Hisashi on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Hisashi looks to throw the jab but Marek is out of range. Hisashi misses with a looping left.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hisashi misses with a straight left. Marek moves out of range of the strikes. It looked like Marek wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Hisashi darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Hisashi scores with a shot to the body.

and Marek counters with a three punch combo that has Hisashi backing up. Hisashi nods at Marek to acknowledge the strikes. A cross from Hisashi lands. Marek keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hisashi. Nice shot lands for Hisashi. Hisashi throws a hook but Marek blocks it. A big left from Hisashi misses. Hisashi lands a jab-cross combination. Hisashi cracks a nice hook into Marek's ribs. Marek throws a hook to the side of Hisashi's head but Hisashi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Hisashi bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hisashi swings widly with a right hand
and Marek counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Hisashi keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Hisashi connects with a nice looking jab.
Oh Marek is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kamil Marek's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Hisashi rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Marek counters with a lovely straight right hand! Hisashi might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Hisashi swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Marek. Hisashi drops Marek with a straight right hand, right on the button! Hisashi follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Akahoshi Hisashi! Akahoshi Hisashi is the new welterweight champion!
