Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arto Jarvinen (ranked 294 p4p, 596 weight class) and Bryan Gracie (ranked 43 p4p, 92 weight class). Gracie has chosen Limp Bizkit - Rollin' as his entrance music. Bryan Gracie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Arto Jarvinen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bryan Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie throws a shot from downtown. Jarvinen moves away and avoids it.

and Gracie counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gracie.

Gracie drops back looking for a leg! Jarvinen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jarvinen manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into Jarvinen's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Jarvinen pulls Gracie in close to his closed guard and prevents Gracie from doing any damage or advancing position.
Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jarvinen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Gracie is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Jarvinen in side control, just content to control the action for now.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Gracie missing with a left hand there. Jarvinen was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Jarvinen fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jarvinen paws at him with a jab and circles away.

That was a close round but I would say that Arto Jarvinen will probably get the nod.

Jarvinen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jarvinen has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted.

My spies in Ludus Magnus inform me that Gracie has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Gracie swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Jarvinen is now in Gracie's guard. A big mistake from Gracie there, giving up the dominant position!

Gracie goes for a double leg but Jarvinen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jarvinen continues to drive forward.

Gracie takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Gracie tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jarvinen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gracie somewhat.

Jarvinen cracks Gracie with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Jarvinen has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Gracie to stand back up!

It looks like Bryan Gracie has been cut.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Jarvinen throws a punch but it's blocked by Gracie.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gracie is looking to break free of the clinch but Jarvinen has double underhooks.

Gracie pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Jarvinen creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Jarvinen creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Gracie's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Gracie drops to his knees and Jarvinen pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
