Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carter Wright (ranked 320 p4p, 330 weight class) and Ethan Hawk (ranked 38 p4p, 40 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 20 - 9 - 1, fighting out of New York, Carter Wright! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 23 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ethan Hawk! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Glass and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Wright misses with a hook. Hawk doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Wright tries to bum rush Hawk with a series of wild strikes but Hawk uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Hawk looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Wright misses with a hook. Wright misses with a right hand and Wright takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Hawk moves out of range of the strikes. It seemed like Hawk was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wright throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Hawk counters with a low kick, right behind Wright 's knee. Wright throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Hawk cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Carter Wright has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. A lazy left from Hawk finds it's target. Wright throws a body punch but Hawk moves out of range. Hawk feints and then cracks Wright's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Wright down. Carter Wright seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wright misses with an attempted mid kick.

and Wright takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wright misses with the body kick and Hawk cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Hawk misses with a looping left. Wright quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Wright throws a leg kick but Hawk sees it coming and moves out of range. Hawk looks to land a left hand but Wright moved out of range nicely. Wright is looking to counter punch. Wright tries to bum rush Hawk with a series of wild strikes but Hawk uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wright misses with a straight right. Wright misses with a body kick. Hawk looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. A shot to the liver by Wright. Beautiful body shot. Hawk keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Wright. Wright misses with a kick to the body and Hawk counters with a nice uppercut. Hawk misses with a wild body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wright rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hawk moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Wright bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Hawk's head backwards. Wright avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A slow jab from Wright misses its intended target. Hawk feints and then cracks Wright's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Wright down. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hawk moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ethan Hawk dominated that round. The cut man is working on Carter Wright's cut. That's time! Wright's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Hawk thumps Wright with a low kick. Hawk keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Wright. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Hawk! But no joy. Wright misses with an uppercut. Hawk saw that one coming. Hawk throws out a counter right but Wright avoids it with no problem. This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Wright might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Hawk misses with a body kick. Wright is looking to counter punch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wright throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Hawk moves out of range of the body kick from Wright.

That's one minute gone in the round. Wright throws the kick towards the body but Hawk avoids it. Wright lands a lovely overhand right.
It looks like Ethan Hawk has been cut. Wright looks to land a body kick but Hawk moved away. Hawk misses with an uppercut
letting Wright counter with a right hand. Ethan Hawk seems to be getting the better of the standup. Wright swings away with a leg kick that misses. Wright swings for the body but Hawk moves out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Wright misses with an uppercut. Hawk saw that one coming. Hawk flicks out a counter leg kick but Wright steps away. Wright tries a head kick but it misses.
Wright ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hawk moves away. Hawk thinks about the counter body kick. Hawk wants to land a leg kick but Wright is out of range. Wright is looking to counter with head kicks. Hawk throws a nice inside leg kick. Wright tries to land a body kick and Hawk counters with a body kick that stops Wright in his tracks momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wright turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Hawk takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. A big left from Wright misses. Wright goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Hawk only half commits to the counter leg kick. Hawk throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wright is looking to counter punch. Wright looks to land a body kick but Hawk moved away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wright throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wright looks to throw the jab but Hawk is out of range. Wright uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hawk has time to react. Wright throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Hawk steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wright fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hawk manages to avoid it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Carter Wright dominated that second round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Wright feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hawk sprawling to the canvas! Hawk rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Wright finish him?!

Hawk is rocked! Wright misses with a hook. Hawk ducked under it nicely. And Hawk responds with a good body kick, but Wright manages to step out the way in time. Hawk bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wright thumps Hawk with a low kick. Wright cracks Hawk with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wright uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hawk has time to react. Wright has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Hawk. Wright throws a powerful right kick. Hawk tried to block low but the kick was high! Hawk was taken right off of his feet! Wright jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Carter Wright! Carter Wright decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
