Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Dale Doback!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Akira Maeda!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A looping hook to the body misses from Doback. Maeda does a little dance to reset his feet.
Doback will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Maeda scores with a sloppy right hand. Doback should have avoided that one.

Maeda throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Doback stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Maeda rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Doback moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Doback is staying active underneath Maeda, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

That was a close round but I would say that Dale Doback will probably get the nod.

Doback looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Akira Maeda showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Doback does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dale Doback.
I think Doback has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
