Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Carlton Draught!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Trouble Somer!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Draught closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Draught lands in his opponent's guard.

Somer working for a triangle but Draught defends it easily.
Draught slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Somer looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Draught working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Draught slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Draught tries for a kimura but Somer is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Somer is looking for a sweep.
Somer keeps trying to improve his position.
Somer struggling a bit here.

Draught is trying to get an arm triangle but Somer is defending well.

Draught is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Somer has escaped the position, nice work there.
Somer is looking to reverse the position.

Draught tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
You can see the frustration on Somer's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Draught looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Draught advances to full mount.

Draught is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Somer is surviving well by controlling Draught's body position as best he can.
Somer tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Somer bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Somer works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Somer wants to stand up but Draught is controlling the position.
My spies in Räkälä inform me that Somer has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Somer postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Draught is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Somer, into his guard.


Draught thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Draught stands and throws Somer's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Somer sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Somer is looking to improve his position.

Somer looking for submissions off his back.
Somer is refusing to be controlled, as Draught sits in half guard.
Draught passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Somer!
Draught misses with a head shot.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Somer tries to reverse the position but Draught maintains control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Somer wants to control but Draught is having none of it.
Draught wants to control the pace but Somer is squirming around nicely.
Draught mounts Somer! Really nice guard pass there!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Draught darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Carlton Draught overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Somer is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Draught pulls his head out easily.
Somer is trying to get back to full guard.

Draught is working for a submission of some sort.
Draught passes to side control.

Draught working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Somer is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Draught has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Somer taps out!
