Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Caio Victor (ranked 1065 p4p, 964 weight class) and Remi Chavaski (ranked 150 p4p, 136 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Caio Victor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Remi Chavaski!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Winston Howard and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chavaski gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Victor looking to take Chavaski's back but Chavaski rolls and after a scramble, Chavaski ends up on top in guard. Nice escape there from Chavaski to escape a tricky position.

Chavaski drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Victor dives on top into guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Victor throws out a loose jab but Chavaski uses good head movement to avoid it.
Chavaski tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Chavaski shoots in for a takedown but Victor shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Chavaski closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Caio Victor overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Victor throws a hook to the side of Chavaski's head but Chavaski sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Chavaski closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Victor's guard.

Chavaski is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Victor goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Chavaski has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Victor but great work by Chavaski.

Chavaski is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Victor is just riding it out for now. Chavaski eventually gives up the hold.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Chavaski drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Victor manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Chavaski has Victor in his guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Victor, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
